Naomi

Her small porcelain hands clung to mine,

"How are you two?" Jordan asked as George sat next to her. Alex answered first,

"Good finally got that job at the hospital, you guys?" Jordan smiled as her eyes focused on Skye.

"Great, Skye keeps me busy all day long. George is working on music all day anyways." Jordan answered with complete happiness.

Skye Avery Daniels

She is the light of my life. I remember the day she was born, staying in that hospital for hours until I was finally able to see her and my best friends. I remember taking Jordan to the hospital and her screaming giving me anxiety the whole way to the hospital. George met us as soon as she was going into the labor so I guess he got the worst part. But those 10 tens hours seemed like 10 seconds as soon as Skye was put into my arms. Her red lips parted into a small O as tears sprung to my eyes. She's so beautiful, and I remember her eyes opening. Those breathtaking blue grey eyes. I don't know how she got that eye color, but bless her parents.

"Naomi!" Jordan shrieked. I jumped coming back to the room I was once in, " I asked how you're doing?" Jordan said pouting. I shook my head smiling,

"I'm great. My place is coming along just fine." I said looking into Skye's eyes. A little smile fell on her face as she played with my hair.

"And school?" George asked looking down at Jordan.

"Good, the year is ending and I start my internship soon. I'm pretty excited." I said looking away from Skye for a few moments.

"Oh! You got the internship at the company?" Jordan said with a smile. I nodded smiling at Jordan,

"Where's the internship?" George asked pulling Jordan into his side.

"LA Psychological unit." I said in a more summarized version. George and Jordan shared a look I could not decode.

"What will you uh be doing there ?" Jordan asked after turning away from George.

"Well just looking over the files, filing files, nothing too crazy. If they like me then they'll move me up." I said with my attention fully on Skye. Her soft blonde hairs stuck to her face as she looked up at me. Those long lashes will be the death of every boy, besides the Fire blue of her eyes.

"I'm happy for you." George said leaning across the coffee table.

"Thank you." I said smiling slowly, something was off. I knew it, I could feel it as soon as I got here. Is something wrong with Skye, immediately I looked down at Skye. She looked fine, nothing out of the ordinary.

"So um Naomi, there's something we have to tell you." Jordan started. I stood up gathering Skye in my arms,

"What's wrong with Skye?!" I asked in a worried tone. I felt my fingers curl around her small body,

"Nothing! Nothing's wrong with her, relax Naomi, that's my baby in your hands!" Jordan said as she too stood up. I took a deep breath handing over Skye to Jordan.

"I-Im sorry." I said as Jordan nodded taking her baby into her arms. We both sat down feeling a little more calm,

"What we have to say is...is well I'll just spit it out." George started, I felt Alex's hand rest on my back, Jesus what were they going to say to me? "Nick and Ross are getting married." George whispered. I blinked, that was it ?

"T-that's great...but why the hesitation to tell me this?" I said looking into George's eyes. They were casted down as Jordan pressed her lips to Skye's cheek.

"Naomi....Matty is going to be there. He's flying in tonight." the words hit me like a truck, my stomach dropped.

"I-I got to get home." I whispered as I stood up and practically sprinted out of their house. This wasn't happening, he'd be here in hours. I wasn't ready, this isn't supposed to be happening now. Not now.
