In the Heaven Court
Xie Lian was standing next to Hua Chēng and he was explaining what transpired during the incident.

"You see the person that attacked me wasn't General Xuan Zhen but a wrath that disguises itself as a doppelgänger. I swear it had Mu Qing's face and anything detail about him and the last thing I saw was Mu Qing himself. He was about to defend me when the doppelgänger disappeared. And that's what transpired..." everyone in the court seemed doubtful.

Xie Lian turned to his San Lang, "San Lang. You know I wouldn't make this up?" He pleaded with sad eyes. Hua Chēng's stern look softened, "of course, I believe you, Gege. But I'm afraid it's too late."

Feng Xin sighed, "I hate to admit it but he's right. The Court's already stripped Xuan Zhen or rather Mu Qing of his position in Heaven and was to be banished afterward..." Xie Lian pleaded, "but he can get it again..."

Jun Wu sighed. "Well, perhaps but the Heavenly Court has made its decision then I'm afraid there's nothing to be done about it."

Xie Lian felt heartbroken, Hua Chēng put an arm around his husband's waist. He didn't care what happened to Mu Qing, but he never liked when his Gege was upset about it.

Jun Wu spoke out his inner thoughts. "If I am, to be honest, I'd you be rather in one piece than General Xuan Zhen. And he disappeared as you said he did and how, Dianxia?"

Xie Lian sighed, "well, I went to the prison cell where it kept Mu Qing and I met up with him. There was this huge horse...."

This raised eyebrows, "a horse?" One of the female martial gods asked.

Suspicious, Ling Wen asked, "can you describe the horse, Dianxia?" Xie Lian spoke, "well, it was huge, had an ebony color of its fur and it had glowing white eyes, and... it carried a carriage...?"

Hua Chēng asked, "wrath perhaps? That carried that carriage? It would not be another ghost bride, would it, Gege?" He and Xie Lian held each other's hands.

Xie Lian shook his head, "no, if there was, I'd have sensed it but there was no one and Mu Qing vanished the moment the horse grabbed his sleeve."

Jun Wu felt curious, "where is General Xuan Zhen now?"

Xie Lian shook his head, 'I don't know but I'm worried....'

Then he had a thought, "Ling Wen, is there a way where we can locate Mu Qing and recount what's he been doing where he is? And if I can prove he is innocent, will he be pardoned?" Ling Wen nodded, "there may be a way to locate where General Xuan Zhen. Yes, Dianxia, there must be concrete evidence before we plead him as innocent."

She and the other Heavenly Officials held up their hands hovering next to each other. They formed the glowing balls from their hands, "智慧之光，告诉我们玄珍将军目前在哪里，以及他做了什么..."
(The light of wisdom tells us where General Xuanzhen is now and what he has done...)

A large light illuminated in front of them. When the glow disappeared, it revealed a large curtain that depicted the body of Mu Qing asleep on the carriage...and in a coffin?!

But then they had to look twice, there was another body next to him and it was...another Mu Qing?! He was younger-looking, like the way he did when he was sixteen years old.

Everything about him was entirely identical to their Xuan Zhen. Instead of his official garments, wore shoes, had a simple robe of coal black and was wearing a hanfu crown instead of a hair tie.
