At lunchtime In the end, after his class, Mu Qing eventually did come to clean the windows.
Grim sighed, "I'm already exhausted! Why did we have to clean a hundred windows?!"
Mu Qing stared at him, hard, "because someone decided to let a bastard provoke him..."
"Hey! Don't just pin this on me! You also blew up at Crowley!" Grim reminded him. Mu Qing scoffed, but he didn't argue with that.
"I just didn't like how he sounded when he ordered me. I've explained what happened already and I still get punished along with you!" He seethed.
Plus Mu Qing admitted that it was unintentional, he just blew up because it reminded him of his cruel peers. Crowley had no idea.
As much as Grim wanted to argue, Mu Qing was looking kinda murderous right now, so not the best time.
Grim sighed, "What bums me out is that jerk Ace isn't here to clean! He's super late! I bet he bailed on us!"
Mu Qing sighed, "let's go look for him."
The two finished cleaning and went off to go find Ace. They first went to the social studies room where they were met with talking picture frames that claimed Ace went to the Hall of Mirrors.
Eventually, they did find him, muttering, "like hell I'm gonna clean a hundred of windows. I think I'm gonna" he muttered.
"There you are, jerk!" Grim floated to Ace. Mu Qing watched as Grim and Ace argue again. Then Ace ran off again.
The duo chased after him. As they were running, a boy named Deuce Spade, who had a spade mark over his right eye, eyes of seafoam green, and sported dark blue hair was walking, Ace pushed him, "jerk, get the hell out of the way!"
Mu Qing rushed past him, "don't just stand there, gawking like that! Stop that bastard!"
"You w-want me to stop him?!"
Mu Qing cried out, "he's skipping his duty!"
"Well, that's not good! O-Okay!" Deuce fumbled about at this student scolding him but he followed along. "Something heavy...cauldron!" The student summoned a cauldron and it crashed into Ace.
Grim began to laugh, "look, Mu Qing! He got hit by a cauldron! That's what he gets!"
Despite being hit, to further Mu Qing's dismay, Ace was fine.
Just when Mu Qing thought it couldn't get any worse, Grim had caused mayhem again, the chandelier's Magestone, which was worth a billion Thaumarks, was damaged and Crowley executed a decision to expel them all.
"No, Headmage Crowley, I'll do anything!" Deuce pleaded to give him another chance.
Eventually, Mu Qing got everyone to attention when he mentioned there could be Magestone that could serve as a replacement for the damaged chandelier.
Crowley felt his mouth open, "Mu Qing, how do you know that?"
"While I was reading about the Seven Greats when I was sweeping the floors, I noticed a page that looked like a similar stone to the original; it is located in a cave and guarded by a dark spirit." He answered cooly.
Crowley pondered about it for a moment, "very well, if you could retrieve the Magestone from the cave to the school, I will make pardons and cancel expulsions.
Immediately after, the group left for the cave as they used the Dark Mirror to teleport to the mine cave.
