The bell rang signifying the end of the period and I said goodbye to Ellianna whis next class was across the building.

After Chemistry I met up with my buddy Ryder Dainles, he also had Chem first but with a diffrent teacher, we both had English with the same teacher for second so we walked to class together. "Hey man." I said as I approached him. "Hey where were tou this morning?" He asked me. I shrugged my shoulders.

"I was running late." I said simply, Ryder gave me side eyes. "Yeah we were all suprised when Colin showed up with out you this morning." He said obvously digging for information. It was no secret that Colin had become my closest friend since moving here, and as of late we were always together.

"his mom gave him a ride today." I said omitting any sort of expression in my voice. Ryder could keep digging, there was no way I would divulge why me and Colin we're fighting.

"Actually he came with Matt, You guys fighting or something? We asked him where you were and he said he didn't give a fuck." I rolled my eyes, obviously Colin was still bitter about the incident that happened last night. I was still bitter about last night and im not the one in the wrong.

"Yeah, kind of." I said cryptically. "About what?" Ryder asked. I thought about flat out lying to him but then decided not too I needed his help to get Colin back for what he did to Elli.

"Ellianna Wesbrook." I said cooly not knowing if Ryder was apart of the whole Ellianna controversy or not. I assumed he was since he had been friends with colin since forever. "I haven't heard that name in a while, did he tell you the story?" he asked me.

"No Elli told me, she's my lab partner and we've gotten to be friends." my mind flashed back to yesterday, the pain in her blue eyes, the way her voice quivered when she spoke, the way I almost kissed her.

"You don't believe her do you?" he stopped in the middle of the hall. I did too. "If you heard it from her, you would believe her too, everyone would." Ryder shook his head. Like he couldn't imagine someone taking her side. I didn't understand how anyone couldn't take her side.

"Shane, everyone has known since eighth grade that the whole sexual assult story was, bull shit, she was just doing that for attention." I clenched my fists fighting the urge to tell Ryder to take back what he just said. Or just fuck it and punch the shit out of him. But I had to pick my battles, and I knew Ryder just believed what Colin told him, Colin was the one who really needed to pay.

"Besides the point, I don't care what you believe. you don't know the whole story, Colin, Elli and I do. Listen I wanna even some things out with Colin and I have a plan but I need your help."

It was risky asking Ryder to help me, on the one hand he had been Colins friend forever and I knew this plan could very well backfire. But on the other hand I knew that Ryder had a huge ego and had lost the starting wide receiver spot to his friend who was a sophomore, Ryder was a junior. If I could almost guarantee him getting a start I knew he would go for it.

"Why should I help you, Colin has been a brother to me." I smirked. "I can almost guarantee you start this Friday." I told him. His eyebrows raised, he was obviously at least interested in my proposition.

"How you gonna do that?" he asked me, still on the fence. I smirked, knowing I was about to get my way. "Make some fantastic passes to you all practice and then when Colin gets pissed ill theow a few to him but then back to you, then ill look at you but then at the last second throw to him, he'll miss it and then make an ass of himself." I was about to finish my sentence but Ryder completed it for me. "Making me look like the better receiver." I nodded my head. "Exactly."

Ryder reached out his hand and we fist bumped. "Im in." We had made it to our English class room when I heard the screech of a nasal voice. "Shane!" I turned to ryder. "Good luck with that." He told me as he slipped into the classroom.

"Hi Karlie." I said in the most monotone unintresed voice I could think of. Karlie looked a little worse for wear. Her butt length black extensions were gone leaving behind natural chest length black hair, she wasn't as dressed up as normal wearing leggings and a sweatshirt. If anything I liked her more this way than with all her superficial stuff. But that didn't mean I wanted her back by any means.

"Shane I was looking for you all morning, I couldn't find you anywhere, and you never called me yesterday." she whined at me, grabbing my bicep longingly. I returned he gesture by pulling away and giving her a confused look.

"Karlie, we broke up Saturday night, at my party." I told her giving her a mental nudge. She didn't take the hint instead her face morphed into a face with puppy dog eyes and a quivering lip.

"I didn't think you were serious, I thought it was just a heat of the moment thing," she spoke innocently like the blow-up we had at the party was nothing at all.

"No we're done." I said turning away about to slip into the safety of my classroom. But Karlie grabbed my shoulder and turned me around, pulling me close. Our noses almost touched and I could smell the floral scent of perfume. The sweet scent not matching her deceitful personality.

"You can't seriously be leaving me for her." she whispered seductively before pulling me by the shirt and kissing me. I pushed away, if I kissed that girl any longer there was a big chance I would take her back.

"I'm not leaving you for anyone Karlie, I'm leaving because your selfish and crazy." with those last words I walked into English, hoping that was the last I'd see of Karlie but knowing it was probably just the beginning.
