Chapter 22:

Another day at school, Harvey even transferred. And worse...He's in the same class as me! "Wow. Didn't expect to see you here." Bati ni Harvey sa akin at agad naman uminit ang dugo ko just by seeing that stupid face of his. "What's up?"

"Layuan mo ako."

"Ang sungit mo naman. Ano ba kasi nakita sayo ni Cleo?" Bulong nya. He was really annoying. "You know...Cleo pushed me away several times before this."

"Good."

"I mean before you're both a thing." Napalingon naman ako agad dahil sa sinabi ni Harvey sa akin. "I thought it was because of Luhence. But...she really loved you. Hindi ko sinabing susuko ako, but maybe I lost my chance because of you."

"And your point is?"

"If her dad finally agrees to your relationship with her...Then I guess it's time to let go of what I feel." Then a smug smirk crossed his face again. That annoying expression. "But if he doesn't, rest assured. She'll be in good hands."

"You mean that?" 

"Of course. After all, I've loved her since junior high. I'd take care of her and treat her well. Promise ko yan sayo, my rival." Biro nya pa. If things don't work out, maybe I just have to trust this annoying guy in front of me.

"If you hurt her feelings I swear to god, I'd kill you." Pagbabanta ko kay Harvey. Natawa na lang kami parehas sa sinabi ko ngayon.

He isn't that bad after all. "Anyways, never knew you'd be doing arts."

"And I thought you just did it on purpose."

"Theatre arts. I do acting." Sagot ni Harvey, but if he acts, why is he so damn bad at it? "I'm good at it by the way. Hindi ko lang pinapakita masyado. Only with activities..."

"Why enroll kung kelan fourth quarter na?"

"Because Cleo's father asked me to. I had to agree, nandito ka daw kasi so he wanted me to keep an eye on you." Ganon pala. Her father must dislike the thought of same sex marriage that much. Good lord. "Don't worry, I'm not here to insult you."

"Dapat lang. Babanatan talaga kita, tamo." Banta ko sa kanya. "You're not too familiar with the school di ba?"

"Yes obviously."

"Come join me and Lucas at lunch." Pagiimbita ko dito.

He may be my rival but that doesn't mean I should be a complete meanie towards him. "Can't believe I'd be joining you pero sige. You're being kind naman." Sagot ni Harvey. Wow. Buti nga niyaya ko sya eh.

"Wow. Bakit parang ayaw mo pa?"

"Alright miss masungit."

Inirapan ko na lang si Harvey. So annoying most of the time.

I took out my Dutch mill sa bag at uminom muna. Drinking in this class was okay anyways. "So...What kind of works have you finished?" Tanong sa akin ni Harvey nang mapansin kong hawak nya na yung isa sa mga notebook ko, Statistics and Probablity. "Bobo ka pala sa math."

"I'm not bobo. Just can't understand it well, amin na nga!" Ninakaw ko mula kay Harvey yung notebook ko dahil tinitignan nya pala yung mga quiz ko don. "Bawing bawi naman ako sa mga arts no! Just not math. It's stressing me out." Reklamo ko bago ako magpatuloy sa pag inom.

Harvey was as pushy as Silvestre when me and Tres started hanging out a little more often. Mas nakakairita nga lang to si Harvey. "I can teach you math. Magaling ako sa math."
