Diana woke up a bit early that morning, quite a few minutes before her alarm clock went off. She laid in bed until it's sound reached her ears. She then sat up and shut it off, rubbing her eyes. The clock read 9:00-she had three hours before Spence came and got her. She hopped up and shuffled to the kitchen, making a bowl of cereal. She ate in silence, and was deep in thought when Nymeria came and rubbed up against her leg. Diana rubbed the ears  of her Munchkin cat, smiling as her cat headbutted her hand.

"Fine, fine!" she laughed as Nymeria nipped her fingers. "Bossy." Diana got up and fed her cat before falling into her chair. She glanced at the clock, and saw that a mere thirty minutes had passed. She laid around until 11:30 before she headed to her room and got dressed. She had just finished putting her hair in sweet, low pigtails when her doorbell rang.

"Coming!" she yelled. She skipped over and threw open the door, revealing Spence. "Hey!"

"Hi, Diana," he greeted her with a smile. "Ready?"

"Wait-" she said. She dashed back into her room, grabbed her cellphone, and slipped it into her pocket as she walked back out. "Ready."

They walked down to the lobby and out into the sunshine. The wind was bit harsh, blowing Diana's pigtails into her face. Spencer have her an odd look as she attempted to spit her hair out of her mouth, and she laughed awkwardly. She was too embarrassed to say anything until she got to the car.

"Thanks for staying to help clean up last night," she told him as he unlocked the doors. "That helped out a lot. Let me have a morning of doing nothing." He smiled at her.

"No problem," he responded as he slid into his seat. "I got to spend time with you, so it was fun." He was too busy backing the car out to notice her blush. They drove for a few moments before Diana broke the silence once more.

"So, where're we going?" she asked.

"There's a little bookstore on Union, with a great coffee shop two or three stores down," he said. "I was thinking we could go and get books, then grab a coffee."

"Sounds great," Diana said, relived. She hated going out with no plan. She needed everything to be planned and orderly.

"It's a really good store," he explained as he made a left turn. "It has a fantastic non-fiction section I bet you'll like." She nodded enthusiastically.

"Do you know if they have any good Stephen King novels?" she asked. "He's amazing, his work is pure gold."

They talked and talked until Spence pulled into a parking spot in front of a small book store. It looked rather old, and had a sign that read "The BookNook" hanging up. Diana cried out in protest when she saw Spencer get out and open the door for her.

"Spence," she said, laughing,

"What?" he asked, slightly panicked. Did he do something wrong?

"Nothing," she said, dismissing it with a smile. No way she was saying that she thought he was adorable. "C'mon, let's go in."
