summer "billie and I are thinking of going on a small get away to figure our things out" I tell my mom as I watch adalyn dance to the cartoons playing while playing on her iPad.
"yeah? that's good" she nods, "that will be really good for you too" she adds making me smile.
"I thought you would have cussed me out for even giving billie a second chance by now mama" I tell her honestly with a laugh.
"I was tempted but I honestly see it.. I knew you two would eventually find your way back together, there was too much love between you too and when you love, you love hard" she tells me giving my shoulder a squeeze.
"I was very disappointed in billie but I believe you two met at the wrong moment in her life, she still wanted to live her life up a bit while you've been ready for something serious" she shrugs.
"yeah.. I guess you're right" I mutter.
it doesn't make it hurt any less though.
"we're leaving next week which is why I will be staying here before I get sick of billie" I chuckle, "I just want to spend more time with both of you and maggie said she will talk to you about babysitting and all" I let her know as I get up from my chair.
I go over to sit next to adalyn, "hi baby, let me talk to you for a bit" I say taking her into my lap.
"so mommy and mama are going away for a bit" I tell her, "we will be back to smooch you with love" I tell her.
"what about me mommy?"
"awe well you'll be staying with granny and granny maggie" I tell her, "or mommy na-na" na-na is naomi.
"I want to stay with granny!" she grins jumping up and down a bit.
"you can stay with granny then baby, but we will be back you know that right" she nods going back to watching her cartoons while sitting on my lap, I kiss her head softly while watching the cartoons with her.

billie's name flashes across my screen and I don't hesitate as I answer it, "hello" my face scrunches up hearing the loud noise on the other side.
"hi baby"
"billie, where are you?" I ask her seeing the flashing lights on her side.
"at a party with m.a and denzel" she says nervously, "but I called you because m.a has a show tomorrow and ima be performing too, I wanted to ask if you wanted to come" she says getting to a quieter place.
"yeah whatever. you didn't tell me that you were going to a party" I mention getting out of bed so I don't disturb ada sleeping.
"I didn't think I needed to mention it"
"you said you were going to hangout with katorah" I put down my phone as I get a glass of water.
"and I am"
"at a party" I point out.
"alright summer, is that a problem? do I need to tell you everywhere I go?" she asks letting out a breath of frustration.
"no billie but you could have told me it was at a party"
"I didn't tell you because I knew you would feel a way about it" she shrugs.
"well maybe that should tell you not to go, if you knew I was going to feel a way about it then why do it" she bites her lip looking off camera.
"I wouldn't have stopped you but I wouldn't have liked the idea of you going to a party and you know exactly why" I add.
"I know, I'm sorry" she sighs.
"yeah whatever" I roll my eyes going to hang up.
"wait summer, come on please don't be mad" she asks.
"billie, I'm hanging up"
"fuck it, I'm coming to you then" she says before hanging up.
