adalyn "sissy" Auden screams running up to me and crashes on my leg making me laugh, I close the door before I pick her up.
"hello baby" I kiss her cheek and hug him, he giggles in my neck before kissing my cheek and squirms out of my arms to take my hand.
"come see what mama got me" he excitedly pulls me to the living room, his Lego are all over the place and her takes a seat again to play, "come play with me please" he pouts making me smile.
"of course, I will play with you baby boy but first.. where's mommy?" I ask him, before he could answer my mom comes in.
"I'm here, I just had to go pee" she comes in and kisses my cheek and gives me a hug, "hi pretty girl" she greets me and takes her seat on the couch again.
"hi mom, where is mama? i wanted to come see you guys and maybe take you guys for lunch" i say as I take a seat to play with Auden.
"she should be here soon, she had to get auden's teddy at Maggie's" I nod as I build one straight tall line, Auden gets off his seat to come sit on my lap and add on to my building.
suddenly he hits it down making me jokingly gasp, he giggles squirming out of my lap to run away but I quickly catch him making him burst out into more giggles.
"I could feel that everyone was home the minute I stepped in" mama says walking in with the stuffed teddy making Auden gasp and suddenly forgot about me as he goes and gets it.
mama holds it up making him jump for it, "please mama" he pouts making her roll her eyes and hand it over, he grins taking it and turns around to walk away.
"Auden, what do you say?" mama catches him by the back of his shirt and lift him up with it making him die of giggles.
"billie!"
"thank you mama!" she hums putting him down and he comes back to me, "hi baby, it's good to see you" mama says coming to kiss my cheek.
"I've been busy, sorry but I am here" I give her my best smile making her roll her eyes. she's not the biggest fan of me having my own apartment, if it were up to her I would still sleep in my old crib.
she's gotta suck it up, im 19 already.
"yeah yeah, too busy with that boyfriend of yours" she waves me off taking a sit next to mom, "is he treating you good?" she asks raising an eyebrow.
"yes mother" I roll my eyes, "you got the boy scared to even make a mistake, he apologized so much after dropping my drink earlier" I chuckle.
"good, he should be" she nods proudly of herself, my mom simply chuckles laying her head on mama's shoulder.
as much as im close with both my parents and I love them both dearly, im closer to my mom. she's more open-minded and welcoming, she's my best friend and I love mama but she's still holding onto a baby version of me and I haven't grown in her eyes.
again. i love them both very dearly.
"i wanted to take you guys out for lunch" I tell mama as I lift my head to see them kissing softly and smiling at each other, they pull back slightly with smiles before kissing again.
the sight is adorable yet disgusting. i know all about their history, mom is like my best friend and she tells me all about it and as much as it is fucked up, it's their business.
i have nothing to do with their history.
"ma!" I shout making her pull away and look at me, "I said I wanted to take you guys to lunch" I repeat myself.
"or we can just order in and watch movies here, you're still paying though" she points making me roll my eyes.
"I'll order Chinese" I say going to get our takeout orders and place an order, "your mothers are yuckie" I say picking up Auden, he nods with wide eyes making me laugh.
they're still kissing.
"can you guys snap out of it please" I shout throwing a hand full of legos at them, they pull away and mama was about to shout but she was pulled back into a kiss making her immediately relax.
"let's choose a movie and when the food gets here we will eat all of it" i say to Auden as I take a seat on the far end and throw a blanket around us, I keep my back to them as we pick a movie.
"what's up family?" mae shouts making herself known to us, auden immediately gets up running to her, "what's up bud?" she grins picking him up.
she looks at my parents and back at me, "have they been like this?" I nod making her gag and take a seat next to us, auden sits between us to cuddle.
"sissy, can we watch frozen 1?" Auden asks mispronouncing frozen as fwozen.
"of course baby" I put on the movie and cuddle him as we watch it.
i turn around to see my parents whispering to each other with smiles bumping against each other's making me smile slightly.
they deserve each other.
I've witnessed many breakdowns from my mom during the time they weren't together and as much as she tried to keep it away from me, you always know when your mom is in pain.
she deserves to be treated well.
