THIRD PERSON POV

HENDERSON HOUSEHOLD, HAWKINS INDIANA

Felix laid in his bed, lightly snoring. His curly brown hair was slightly messy, not that it was usually tidy per se. The sunlight was coming in through the curtains, and it was beginning to wake him. But, what really woke him, was his mother knocking on his door.

"Felix, honey, it's time to wake up! We have to leave to pick up your brother soon." His mother's voice was muffled slightly, due to the door.

Felix rolled over and groaned. "Okay, I'll be out soon..." His Russian accent was still pretty strong, even after what had transpired all those years ago. He opened his eyes. He had grown accustomed to only being able to see out of his right eye, since the accident. He rubbed his face, and glanced at his clock. 9:17 a.m.

He sighed, getting up. He pulled a black hoodie out of his dresser, and a pair of grey shorts. He put on some socks, and his converses, and slid his rings onto his fingers. He went into the bathroom, and tidied his hair. He looked at himself. His left eye had a long scar down it, and the whole eye was white, as he was blind. His other eye was green, and sparkled. Well, used to. Years of torment would do that to a person. He had a septum ring, and a lip ring, which both took a lot of convincing to get done. He quickly brushed his teeth, and went to find his mother.

"Hey, sweetie! So, are you and your friends still planning that surprise for Dusty?" His mom was sitting on the couch, with the cat on her lap.

He nodded. "I was thinking I could stay here, while you pick Dustin up, since I was the one who planned it."

His mom smiled. "Sure, honey, whatever you want! I'm going to leave now, but I'll see you soon." She kissed his cheek, and they said their goodbyes. Felix grabbed his walkie-talkie.

"This is Felix, you guys can come now, over." Felix waited for a response.

"Sounds good, over." It was Mike. The rest said the same things, and eventually they showed. The five showed up, and they all hung out for a while.

They were all in Felix's room, just chilling, and laughing.

"Do you guys wanna listen to something?" Felix grabbed his basket of tapes. Everyone looked through it.

Mike shook his head. "You only have metal and rock bands. Where's the good stuff? And what are these, random Russian songs?"

"This is good stuff. Better than the Pointer Sisters, or Wham. No offense." Felix grabbed 'Living on a Prayer', and began playing it.

Will leaned over. "I think you have great music taste."

He smiled. "I appreciate that, Byers."

"Hey, Fe, can you play this on the bass?" Max smiled, gesturing towards the black bass guitar on his wall. Felix nodded, and grabbed it off the wall. He sat on his bed, and began to play along. Will was in awe. He had seen Felix play before, but it amazed him every time. Felix stopped.

"I think my mom is back," he put his bass on the wall. "Places, guys!"
