Chapter 4: New Acquaintances

Y/N's POV

I have a job at a local convenience store and there are not a lot of customers here. Nothing really interesting happens here, at least not until today. That is because Mikey showed up here wanting to buy a dorayaki.

"Your Mikey right? Shin's little brother?"

"Wait how do you know?" he suspiciously asked me.

"I saw a picture of you from Shinichiro. By the way, my name is Y/N." This made his figure relax realizing who I was. Thank goodness I asked Shin to see a picture of Mikey in the case for something like this.

"Oh, I heard of you! You're the girl who saved your friends from a fire right? By going inside the burning house. I always wanted to meet you!" He asked me with eyes that sparkled.

I guess saving them from the fire made people curious about me. I wasn't actually trying to do that but I guess this is just a win-win situation. "Yep, that's me."

......

"So I heard that you are the 'Invincible Mikey', please do be careful. I don't want anything bad happening to you." To think that Mikey's dark impulse is going to kick in soon is just so sad. Even if my words don't mean that much I can't help but say those words to him.

Mikey's POV

I wonder why she suddenly just said that and it sounded like she knew about something... Maybe I'm overthinking it, who knows? Either way, she is very interesting there's just something about her that makes her intriguing. You can never read her, she also seems like she will be strong both mentally and physically.

I think I'm going to come here often now.

Y/N's POV

After my first meeting with Mikey, I was all ready to go home. But not until I ran into Hanma, he's homeless or at least the look of it. Hanma here is very sad looking. He isn't the same as I saw in the manga and anime where he was a little too crazy. "Hey there, what is your name?"

"... My name is Hanma. I don't understand why you are talking to me, I'm not significant."

"No, I wouldn't say that."

"Let me guess you were going to say that you are special in your own way."

"No, I wasn't going to say that. I was going to say that if you think you aren't significant enough then make yourself significant. 'Easier said than done?' Well here is the thing nothing is easy if you want people to recognize you then you have to work for it. Unless you were born so very lucky you have to do everything on your own. Become significant enough for people to acknowledge you and have no choice but to listen to you." I was just going to leave when Hanma called out to me.

"Umm H-hey what is your name?!"

"My name is L/N Y/N!"

Hanma's POV

This random girl just came to me and started talking to me. At first, I was confused about why someone like herself would talk to me. She looks very pretty and confident. I'm glad I met her though because now I'm going to make myself significant. where people have to listen and follow me. And when I do become that I'll find her again and show her how much I have improved.

Your POV

A month has passed since my confrontation with Mikey and Hanma. This means it's already 2003 and so far I met Shin, Inupi, Akane, Koko, Izana, Kakucho, Mikey, and Hanma. Last year was successful and I was able to gain some of their trust.

This year I will be focusing on the founding Toman members. The end goal here is to save Shin from dying but Kazutora ends up in juvie because if not that's changing too much of the future. The key here is timing, the authorities have to see him hitting it directly in his head. 

I'm sorry Kazutora but for the sake of the future, you have to be in Valhalla. However, I promise you, that you won't go to juvie again...
