Chapter 25: The Sacrifice

Y/N's POV

It's now the battle between Takemichi and Mikey. It was clear that Toman was winning due to all the strength we have. Wakasa and Benkei have joined us thanks to Shin. We of course also have Hajime on our side too. 

The only problem now was that Mikey has knocked everyone down unconscious. But this is also part of the plan so it was necessary. 

Takemichi was successfully able to dodge Mikey's incoming attacks which surprised him. Many of people were starting to wake up now, surprised to see Takemichi being able to keep up with Mikey. 

Just then Takemichi landed a solid punch on Mikey's face which caused everyone to cheer. 

Mikey was now asking Takemichi why he came back and that he promised to keep everyone safe so why. While Takemichi was telling him that he knew he was suffering and that's why he came back. 

"Takemichi for a long time now I didn't understand the meaning of this 'dark impulse' but I was informed by Wakasa that Shinichiro was trying to save me. Shinichiro is a time leaper." 

Mikey was now telling us the story of Shin while Shin had a fist formed in his hands. I then went up to him and held his hand. "Shin, it's going to be okay. Today is the day where all this will end."  

"The 'curse' Shinichiro created by killing the time leaper... that is what my 'dark impulses' are. It affected everyone around him. The same was probably true for Kazutora back then. The karma that I've carried. This 'dark impulse' it's eating away at me. I can't seem to control it anymore. That's why I pushed Y/N and my friends away. I had no choice but to leave. I feel like I'm about to go berserk." 

When he was finished speaking I spoke, "Manjiro... we knew... Takemichi, your brothers, Seishu, Ken, Chifuyu, Keisuke, Kazutora, Takashi, and the others all knew." 

Mikey looked at me confusingly, "w-what do you mean?"

"Mikey, I'm not from this world. This world is a foreign place for me because I came from a place where all your stories were told in a manga called Tokyo Revengers. I came here in 2002 to save everyone and to help assist Takemichi. I carefully approached every one of you so I can prevent the future that's waiting for all of you. Mikey so you don't have to hold back anymore because this time around I'm here. So release your dark impulses because we are here to end all of this today." 

"But Y/N-chin you might get-"

"Manjiro, don't make me laugh you used your dark impulses a few minutes ago to knock every one of us unconscious. Do you remember your promise to never hit a girl? Well, you broke that because you hit both Senju and me. You always-" Just then Mikey tried kicking me which I dodged. I guess he realized that he broke his promise and realized that he hurt me and that caused his conscience to get weak allowing the curse to take control. 

We kept dodging each other's attacks which means there was no improvement on either side. "Takemichi, it's time!"

"Everyone listen up! Y/N and I will do everything in our power to stop this curse without anyone of us dying so please lend us your hand!" Takemichi shouted. 

"If we don't end this today... there is no good future for us! Please help us! In order to defeat the curse we need everyone's hand in action!" I yelled out. 

With that everyone started rising up and trying to help us fight Mikey. Every one of us was working together to defeat the curse but it seemed as though Mikey was only getting stronger. Just then Mikey started running away. 

"Why is he running away?!" Smiley asked.

"Who knows, we have to catch him before he does something stupid!" Keisuke yelled. 

We ran to catch him but then I realized that he was going for the katana. 

"Shinichiro-san!!!" Seishu cried out. I was able to see Mikey trying to stab him with it so I quickly pushed Shin aside and I closed my eyes to see that Kazutora, Hakkai, Hanma, Wakasa, and Takeomi were holding onto Mikey's legs while Keisuke, Ken, Angry, and Chifuyu stopped his arms from moving closer to me. Izana, Kakucho, and Sanzu grabbed onto his waist causing Mikey to fall down onto the ground with them. Ran, Rindou and Smiley took the katana away from his hands. Finally, Takashi, Taiju, and Hajime were bringing a rope to tie him up while the others held me from falling onto the ground. 

"Y/N-chan are you alright?!" Chifuyu asked me.

"Y-yes I'm alright but why would-"

"Y/N, you have been protecting us all this time." Kazutora started.

"If it weren't for you many of us will be dead right now but you saved us multiple times," Ken said.

"You even got hurt and even fell into a coma trying to save us," Hakkai added.

"Of course, we will do anything to protect you, Y/N" Angry stated. 

"This is no longer just yours and Takemichi's fight," Hajime told me.

"We are here to help you no matter what!" Izana finished. 

"You guys.." Unknowingly to me, tears were streaming down my face.

Mikey was now starting to rise back up which caused everyone to be alert. "The 'curse' was ended in the manga when Takemichi died by Mikey but we aren't things to go that far. In order to change the future I need all of you to stay far away from Mikey and me until I give you notice to come to us."

"But Y/N you might be in great danger!" Haru said making everyone nod their head. 

"Don't worry about me guys. I have a plan," I smiled at everyone. 

I could tell they weren't sure if they should listen or not but in the end, they did. This just leaves the dark-impulse boy and me. 

"Telling everyone to go away was a stupid thought."

"I know... but this is the only way," I then ran to him but Mikey used a knife to stab me near the heart. 

I knew he was going to do this and I also knew he took a knife back then when he was getting the katana. But this is the only way I can save everyone without someone else getting hurt. I can't let that happen so I decided to sacrifice myself instead. 

"Y/N!!!!" Manjiro screamed my name alerting the others that something went terribly wrong. 

I could only feel numbness and I could barely make out what they were saying to me. "You guys... I chose to do this so don't blame each other for this... I knew that since I'm from a different world and that since God brought me here I assumed that if I sacrifice myself nobody will be hurt... I'm sorry guys..." With that I fell into the deepest slumber I have ever been in...
