Chapter 18: The Gifts

Y/N's POV

I finally got discharged and today I promised to hang out with the Haitani brothers. I was on my way there till I spotted them arguing amongst themselves. 

"I'm going to buy her this!" Ran shouted. 

"No, 'm going buy her that!" Rindou yelled back. 

They kept going back and front while people were staring at them. They are honestly such an embarrassment. 

"Umm guys look at your surroundings," I said to them.

They both looked at me surprised and did what they were told. They look embarrassed now.

"So is any of you going to explain why the 2 of you were arguing?" 

"Y/N-chan~ we are sorry~. We didn't think that would have happened," Ran said to me.

"Yeah, we are sorry." Rindou looked down at the floor. 

"It's fine, plus it's not me that was embarrassed it was you guys." I laughed.

"You're so mean~" Ran spoke.

"Yeah, Ran's right." 

"Aww come on. I was going kidding."

"By the way, here Y/N-chan." Ran gave me something while his face was turned away from me. I can see a blush form on his cheeks. 

Ran's POV

Geez, why am I acting like this right now? I'm always so confident around girls and it's always them that's giving me something, not the other way around. 

When I first met her, I was simply curious about her. She intrigued me, I thought she was just planning hard to get and that I was only feeling excitement with her around. 

I thought I had her, I really did. I thought she liked me. Little did I know it was me falling in love with me. 

When Y/N kept getting hurt because of her protecting others I was so angry with myself that I wasn't able to protect her. I convinced myself that she was just a friend and that's why I was so angry. But I knew that wasn't the case... I made fun of my brother for convincing himself that she was just a friend but I was doing the same thing.  

I believed that I can make Y/N fall for me but I never expected myself to fall for her instead. Now I'm hypnotized by her and her only. 

"Wow, this bracelet is really pretty Ran. Thank you," she smiled at me. 

I wish I can see her smile for the rest of my life...

Rindou's POV

They were staring at each other and I was starting to get annoyed. 

"Y/N-chan, this is my present to you," I then proceeded to hand her a small box. 

"Wow, Rindou this is really nice. It looks like it would have cost a lot of money..." Y/N-chan said.

"No, don't worry about it," I shook my head. 

"Thank you Rindou," She said to me with a smile. 

My heart couldn't stop beating so loudly. When did I become like this? 

When I saw Y/N get stabbed in front of my eyes, I was terrified. I never felt something like that... The pained look on her face made my heart so bad...

My brother tried making her fall for him but it only ended up with him falling in love with her. During that time I just watched Y/N-chan. She always looks so beautiful, the way she talks, the way she moves, the way she cares for others... 

I just love Y/N so much... I never knew this kind of feeling but now that I do I don't want it to ever end.

Y/N's POV

I was now going home from hanging out with them. I was looking at the bracelet they gave me. Ran gave me a silver while Rindou gave me a gold one. It looks really nice. 

"Y/N-chin! There you are!" Suddenly Mikey appeared out of nowhere and hugged me. "I missed you so much!"

"Oh hi there Mikey."

"Y/N-chin, I have something I want to tell you... You know how I disbanded Toman. Well, I'm leaving soon and I don't want you to go and look for me... I want you to stay here with the others." Mikey confessed to me while tears while falling from his eyes. 

"Manjiro... please don't leave me and the others... You know I can't just watch you leave and not do anything about it. Is this about you not being able to control yourself from harming others?" I asked. 

"..."

"Manjiro, if you leave then I'll one day come and save you along with the others." 

"Please don't go looking for me, I love you so very much Y/N." Mikey then handed me a necklace and disappeared. 

I knew this was inevitable but now that this has happened, I couldn't hold back my tears... Manjiro... I promise to save you from all this. I promise to you that, the dark impulse, the curse will see its end.
