Y/N's POV

It's been a few weeks now since I woke up and I'm currently with Kakucho in his apartment. He was getting some food for me while I was hiding at his office table due to the thunder outside. 

"Y/N where are you? Are you hiding under the table because of the thunderstorm?" He gently asked me. 

"..."

"Y/N, you're just like when you were younger. You are still afraid of the thunderstorm." With that, he hugged me tightly just like before. 

......

We were comfortably hugging each other under the table when Kakucho spoke. "You know, back then my heart was beating so loud that I thought it would burst and to this day it's still beating so loudly for you, Y/N." Kakucho looked at me lovely and I couldn't help but feel butterflies in my stomach. 

"Kakucho, I never told you this but I always loved you. I just couldn't say because I was a coward back then. I was afraid that if I confessed to you something might happen to you and I couldn't do anything about it. Even now I still love you, Kakucho." I smiled at him while I felt my heart beating so loudly. 

"Y/N, I won't ever leave your side so don't you ever worry about that. I love-" Before he could finish the sentence I cut him off by kissing him. 

"I know Kakucho I know."

"You started it, Y/N." This time Kakucho was the one to kiss me and it lasted much longer this time.

Kakucho's POV

It was the next day and I woke up to see Y/N lying in bed with me. She was still sleeping but she looked absolutely beautiful and I couldn't help but smile. 

I have to say I'm surprised she picked me to love out of everyone. After all, almost everyone loves her. But either way, I'm glad. Y/N deserves the world and seeing her looking so peaceful makes my heart melt. 

I was going to go outside to make some food for Y/N when she grabbed my wrist while she slowly opened her eyes. "Kakucho please don't go." I decided to stay with her a bit longer so I just cuddled her.

"Y/N, thank you for loving me like how I love you."

"What are you saying Kakucho," she asked while her face was buried under the pillow.

"It means I'm beyond happy, Y/N."

"Pfft, you idiot." 

"What I'm being serious right now!"

"I didn't say you weren't, it's just funny how serious you are about this." 

"Very funny Y/N, very funny," I said while shaking my head and smiling.

"By the way, how am I supposed to walk now? You went pretty rough on me last night." My face immediately became red. "You're so cute, Kakucho! I remember clearly you weren't like this last night! You were so confident and so dominant but now you're just so cute." She said while squeezing my cheeks together.

"I can carry you around Japan if I have to, Y/N. Only for my beautiful lady," I say to her.
