Dawn
"Uh, Dawn?" Dad asked, siting down on the couch right by the chair. I looked at him.
"Yeah Dad?" I asked.
"How have you been doin', ever since Mom died?" He asked softly.
"Okay, I guess. Why?" I asked. He shrugged.
"I don't know. You are the only girl in the house. And when you said 'women's touch', I thought of Mom." He explained.
"I'm okay, Dad." I stated. He nodded. He breathed in heavily and looked the other way.
"Okay, we should get in the car. Dallas? Johnny? Where are you?!" Dad yelled as he got up.
"Coming down, Daddy!" I heard Johnny yell. I heard stomps going down the stairs.
"Dawn!" Dallas yelled. They both came running up to me.
"What is it?" I asked, closing my book.
"We can't tie our shoes, I tried, but I tied it in a big knot!" Johnny stated. I looked down at his right shoe and saw a huge knot. I rolled my eyes and started to laugh.
"How did you manage to do that?" I asked as I bent down and started to untie Johnny's knot.
"I don't know. That's what I have been trying to figure out!" Dallas yelled. I started to laugh even more.
"Hey Dawn, I'm gonna start loading up the car." Dad stated. I nodded, still trying to untie Johnny's knot.
"Okay, Dad. Tell me if you need help." I called out.
"Okay, thanks." I finally got Johnny's knot untied.
"Finally." I muttered. I tied both of Johnny's shoes, then Dallas's shoes. "Go help Daddy, okay?" I asked. They nodded.
"Yes m'am." They both said as they ran off. I stood up and grabbed my book. I brought it to my side and started to walk outside. I opened the door and looked out.
"Dawn!" Daisy yelled. She ran up to me. We hugged.
"Hey! There's the Randle girl." Mr. Matthews said as he walked up to me. I let go of Daisy and shook Mr. Matthews hand.
"Hello sir." I said with a smile.
"Come on, you have known me for your whole life! Call me Two-Bit." He begged.
"Okay. Sorry." I apologized. Two-Bit started to laugh.
"Who's going in what car?" Dad asked.
"I'll take Dawn and Daisy in my car and you can take Johnny and Dallas." Two-Bit said. Dad nodded.
"Okay, let's do that. We will meet y'all at the airport."
