Ever since the party, Landon had been hanging out with Hope and Josie nearly every day. Not that the brunette had a say in it at all.

She thinks Landon and Hope are dating, but she isn't quite sure. The shorter girl never told her if the two were but they were doing a lot of things couples do.

The two held hands and talked on the phone and kissed... a lot. And Josie was trying to be happy for her friend she was.

She even thinks she's doing a pretty good job at it! every time Hope would talk about the boy she would smile and nod. But internally she was dying, she hated the boy constantly being around them but he made Hope happy so she was going to fight through it.

"You're adorable" Hope smiled up at Landon as she held his waist and laid her head on his chest.

"No you are," he said.

Josie just rolled her eyes at the two and focused her attention on her notebook where she was writing some song lyrics for a song she was trying to write.

"Crap I've got to go," Landon said as she check a message on his phone.

"Do you have to?" Hope pouted.

"I do, I'm sorry, I'll call you later," he said and Hope sighed and nodded. He leaned down and gave her a slow kiss before smiling and walking out of the old mill.

"He's the best" Hope sighed dreamily before coming over and sitting by her best friend.

"He sure is," Josie said sarcastically.

"Watcha working on," Hope said laying her chin on Josie's shoulder.

"Working on a new song," Josie said as she wrote a lyric down. Hope just nodded and looked down at the notebook.

As if suddenly remembering something Hope sat up straight and turned to Josie "I've been so caught up in my love affair that I forgot about yours! we should get back on that."

"We don't have to Hope" Josie shook her head.

"No it's okay, we made a pact and I'm gonna help you fulfill it, with that being said we are both going to the fall festival this weekend."

"The fall festival? why?"

"I heard Penelope talking about how she was going to it tomorrow during our class."

"And how do I come into the equation?" Josie asked confused.

"You, my lady, are going to write her a love letter explaining all your feelings towards her, and we are going to give it to her."

Josie's eyes widened and she started to panic. As if sensing her panic Hope put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"Write it anonymously, I'm gonna pay some kid to hand it to her don't worry" she chuckled.

Josie nodded and bit her lip in contemplation, how was she supposed to write a love letter to a girl she didn't truly have feelings for?

"Okay, I'll do it."

Later that night Josie was lying in her bed with a notebook in front of her as she twirled her pen in her right hand.
