Chapter 1: Boba Tea

*4 months before the UA Entrance Exams*

3rd Person POV

Mina: "Come on Kouga! There's this boba shop at the mall that just opened, and I really wanna go!"

Kouga: "Mina, slow down! I get you're excited but we're at the mall, I wanna get a few things before we go anyway."

Mina puffed her cheeks for a few seconds before thinking it through for a second.

Mina: "I guess... but if we miss out on this boba, I'm never gonna forgive you!

Mina and Kouga had known each other for a good few years at this point, meeting in 3rd grade and being good friends ever since. They met because they were both seen as freaks in their school because of their quirks heavily changing both of their bodies. But they were the only two people that never judged each other on their looks, rather their personalities.

Kouga had just entered a skater store to buy a new deck, as his previous one was broken while showing off to Mina who now teases him about the situation anytime they bring it up. Mina was waiting just outside the store, as she didn't like the clothing style of the store. After about 5 minutes, she pulled out her phone and texted her best friend.

(Name indicates a phone conversation, I would use their real names but this is funnier to me.)

Pinky: where r u!!

Cheeto: almost done

Cheeto: guy at the counter is taking forever

Pinky: come on...

Pinky: were gonna miss boba!!

Cheeto: literally just 1 more minute

Cheeto: im paying now

Mina sent a picture of her pouty face with the caption "this loser takin forever!!!"

Cheeto: HAH

Cheeto: luv u 2 mina

Pinky: >:c

Right as Mina sent the last message, Kouga walked out of the store with a bag full of shirts and a new deck peaking out of his backpack.

Mina: UUUGGH FINALLY, thought you got kidnapped for a second.

Kouga chuckled slightly before pulling out his phone to check the time. It was 3:48.

Kouga: Hey, when did you say the boba store closed?

Mina, also checking the time: In like 2 hours by this point. But I KNOW what you're thinking and no, no more distractions.

Kouga rubbed the back of his head: Fine, fine, lets go now

Mina jumped for joy, throwing her hands over her head, still holding her own bags full of clothes,

Mina: Boba time baby!

It took the two around 5 minutes to walk to the boba shop which was surprisingly empty, only having three other people seated at the tables that were in and out of the store.

Kouga: Told you we had time~

Mina: Shush up, I'm just glad we're finally here!

Mina ran up to the cashier working at the front, looking at the variety of flavors that they had listed above them. She was indecisive as usual whenever they went for boba, looking to her friend who had already sat at a table and put his backpack down.
