Chapter 12: Sweet Dreams.

-3rd Person POV-

Kouga: Akela? Maahes? Azmeus?

Silence was all that echoed back to him. Usually when he would fall asleep, he would be met with the three spirit that called his body home, but instead he was met with a vast landscape above the clouds. Was this what dreaming was?

Kouga: Hey, if this is a prank it isn't funny! Where am I?

Still silence. He hopped from cloud to cloud, hoping to find the three of them. He felt light for the first time in his life, free from the burdens he had in his everyday life. Usually, he would feel tired jumping this much, but he felt better than ever.

Kouga: C'mon guys! This feels weird...

The more he called out, the louder this silence felt in his ears. He eventually have up trying to find them and sat down on a pink cloud, just looking at the sunset from above the clouds. He watched as the warm reds and pinks of the sunset melted into the soft blues of the night sky. This was the one thing he had dreamt about most in life, but he was sad that he was seeing it alone. He curled into a ball and sighed, just wanting someone to be with.

Kouga, with tears in his eyes: I miss Ochako... I want her to see this with me.

A familiar voice rang out from behind him.

Ochako: Kouga?

He shot up from where he sat and looked at the brunette. His heart raced when he realized who he was talking to.

Kouga: Ochako!? What are you doing here!? I thought I was alone!

Ochako: A-am I dreaming?

Kouga: What do you mean? I-I think this is real. It has to be! There's no way I'm seeing you here otherwise.

Ochako, under her breath: This has to be a dream, there's no way he'd be here with me...

Kouga: Hey, now I have someone to watch this with! Come, look!

Kouga grabbed Ochako's hand and dragged her to the edge of the cloud, it's pink now faded to a deep blue that held the two. Ochako's eyes looked at the setting sun, which had now fully set, leaving the night sky filled with dancing lights and a moon so full, it looked like it could swallow the sky.

Ochako: It's beautiful...

Kouga: I always wanted to dream about this, now I can finally see it in person! With the person I love most too!

Ochako: You love me?

Kouga: Why wouldn't I? You're nice, smart, adorable. You're the person I feel like I can connect with the most.

Ochako: But we've only known each other for barely 4 months now.

Kouga: So what? It doesn't change how I feel about you. You're incredible, y'know that?

Ochako's face didn't break into her usual blushing mess that she would've if someone told her this, it stayed timid and warm. That was until a soft smile broke across her face as she approached him.

Ochako: Since this is a dream, I guess I can do this...

Kouga: Hmm? Do wha-

Kouga was cut off with the feeling of her lips on his. His eyes opened in surprise as he looked at Ochako's closed eyes, but he eventually closed his too. He let that warm feeling engulf his body, as if he was washed under the warmest waves in the world. When she finally took her lips off his, he whimpered a little. He never wanted that feeling to go away.

Kouga: W-was that what kissing feels like?

Ochako: You've never kissed someone before?

Kouga: N-no, never...
