Chapter 5: Class 1A

That wait for the season to finally change to spring felt like the longest Kouga had ever waited, even if it was only a few months. But now it was springtime, and it was the first day of U.A. Getting his uniform on, Kouga went into his pantry to get a quick snack before leaving. He wanted to leave early so he could pick up Mina from her house.

Kouga walked out onto the front porch, not telling his dad that he was leaving. Frankly, he didn't think he would care. He pulled out his phone to text Mina.

Cheeto: just left

Cheeto: ill be there in 10

Pinky: so earlyyyyy

Pinky: im still so tired

Mina sent a picture of herself still in pajamas with a piece of toast in her hand captioned "first day of ua"

Pinky: ill be redy when ur here tho

Cheeto: gotcha

Kouga put his headphones in to listen to music, he didn't have the money to but the school's shoes for the uniform so he just decided to wear the shoes he wore everywhere. It wasn't long before he reached Mina's house, knocking on the door to let her know that he was here.

Mina opened the door, practically deafening Kouga with how excited she was.

Mina: I'm so excited! I swear I've put that hologram on replay every day for the last few months. It's still so cool!

Kouga: I couldn't figure out how to get it to play again, so I've just had it on my desk for a while.

Mina started to speak in a playfully mocking tone: Okay Mr. Top of the Leaderboard! You can get to the top but still can figure out a little button on a hologram.

Kouga smirked: There was a button?

Mina laughed a little: Nah I'm messin' with you, I couldn't figure it out at all. It just kinda played when I took it out of the letter.

Kouga: That makes two of us then.

The two would continue conversing with each other as they continued their way to the top hero school in Japan, U.A High School. They both stood still and admired the front gates of the building, staring in astonishment at just how big the school actually was.

Kouga: Christ, I forgot how big this school actually was.

Mina: Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be fine navigating this.

Kouga: It's not the navigating part I'm worried about. Better senses, remember?

Mina: Ah right, I forget sometimes~.

Kouga: I'm more scared about the people in our class. I mean, that one guy who got the second most points had ZERO rescue points. That scares me a little.
