Ste yuj: stay strong Strikon: little oneEverything was in chaos. People were running to their posts, the children were being rushed to the safety of the lab, and all Clarke could do was watch the scene unfold.
Men were emerging from the tree line. There were far more than they had planned for, which only made everything much more stressful. It didn't take Clarke to realize this wasn't going to be the one sided fight they anticipated. Many people would be lost today and Clarke hoped the losses wouldn't be coming from our side. Bellamy yelling her name, pulled Clarke out of the trance she was in and back into battle mode. She immediately began yelling out commands.
"Madi, I need you to gather Jax and the twins and put them in a safe spot." Madi was about to argue, but Clarke threw up her hand and continued. "Then I need you out here, fighting by my side. You're ready." Madi's eyes widened a bit before she took off in a run towards the lab.
Clarke turned to Bellamy, who wore a mask of mixed emotions on his face. "Armory now," was all she said before they took off in a sprint. Clarke's sword hung from her back and Bellamy had a pistol on his hip, but that wasn't going to be enough and they both knew that. Making it to the little hut they used as the armory was the easy part. Most of the weapons were already gone, leaving only a few left for them to choose from. Bellamy grabbed the only large gun left while Clarke strapped two pistols to her hips and stuffed a knife down her boot.
They were about to head back out when Bellamy pulled her into a desperate kiss which she returned without question. Something felt wrong about it though, almost like he was saying goodbye. They pulled about, both breathless and wide eyed.
"Don't you even think of dying on me Bellamy Blake. I just won't allow it."
"Wouldn't ever think about leaving you princess." He pulled her back in for a much quicker kiss this time. "We still have so much left to do, so I'm not going anywhere." Bellamy took a small breath. "I love you"
"I love you too Bellamy Blake. Now let's go protect our home," Clarke said, giving him a small nod before heading back out to fight.
The scene they came back to was even worse than before. Bodies from both sides were already beginning to litter the ground and the fighting was in full swing. Right outside the forest's edge Clarke saw some of her friends huddle behind a half built house. A 100 yards of open field stood between Clarke and her friends. It was going to be a short and dangerous dash for her and Bellamy. Most of the prisoners were facing away from them as they fought our people, but they knew it wouldn't make things any easier. The danger completely left her mind though once she saw Madi crouched behind a tree a few feet from her friends. She turned to Bellamy who quickly gave her an understanding, readjusting his weapon to move more easily. Instead of reaching for her sword, Clarke pulled one of the pistols from her hip. Still looking at Bellamy, she tried memorizing every part of his face. Bellamy placed his free hand on her cheek, rubbing small circles with his thumb. Clarke let out the breath she didn't realize she was holding and took off in a sprint.
Clarke's focus was stuck on Madi, while Bellamy was focused on her. He pushed as fast as his legs would take him but was somehow still stuck a few steps behind Clarke. Bellamy watched as she took down two men who didn't even see her coming, one shot each. She ran with such speed and yet so quickly that Madi only knew Clarke was there after she slid up behind her. As much as Bellamy wanted to follow her, he veered off to his friends instead.
Crouching behind Murphy, Bellamy placed his free hand on his friend's shoulder. "Is everyone okay? What's happening?"
Murphy jumped at the voice but knew who it was coming from. "We got separated from Echo and Emori when everything started." Bellamy looked to his right, finally realizing only Raven and Octavia were with Murphy. "Monty and Harper went off to the lab, yelling something about making quick bombs."
"We need to get out there," Octavia snapped, her hand tensing around the end of her sword. "The shooting is already slowing down. They're running out of bullets." Octavia was right. The sound of gunshots were becoming less frequent. Instead they heard the sound of something else in the distance. Monty and Harper had made their bomb and were raising hell.
"We should wait until they're almost out of bullets. We don't have many left ourselves," Bellamy spoke his thoughts out loud. He wondered who would run out of bullets first, but pushed that thought to the back of his mind.
"Well it doesn't look like your girlfriend is thinking the same thing," Octavia said, confusing Bellamy until he saw what she was pointing at.
There in front of them was Clarke and Madi, fighting side by side. Each of them mirroring the other like they've done this 20 times before. If it was a different situation it would have almost been beautiful to watch.
"Shit Clarke!" Bellamy was on his feet before the words left his mouth. He took off towards Clarke without waiting to see if his friends were even following. Bodies continued to hit the ground as Bellamy emptied his gun. "We need to push them back into the trees!" He yelled once he was close enough for Clarke to hear.
Clarke gave him a quick confirming nod. She dropped her empty pistol to the ground, replacing it with the sword off her back. "Bellamy, push them back from the right," she yelled out commands in Trigedasleng, only wanting her friends to know what she was saying. "Madi, you will take the left. Be careful, my strikon."
"Ste yuj, Clarke," Madi yelled back then quickly turning on her heels.
Clarke didn't give herself time to worry. All her attention needed to be on the men in front of her. Madi could handle herself. She was trained by Wanheda.
Wanheda.
The name that will probably be whispered for many years to come. For a long time Clarke hated being called that name, hated what it implied. She hated it even more that sometimes she liked it. Thrived off it. But in this moment Clarke called for the part of herself she thought she buried deep inside herself. But the more she swung her sword, the more she could feel Wanheda come to the surface.
"Ai laik Wanheda kom Skaikru," Clarke's voice boomed through the forest. "You made the mistake of attacking my family. None of you will see tomorrow's sunrise," she yelled as she switched languages. For that brief moment the forest went silent and Clarke felt a shift in the air.

All her friends heard Clarke yell. Bellamy's first reaction was fear. When he heard Clarke yell his first thought was that she had been hurt in some way. "Clarke! Clarke!" He yelled her name only for her not to hear. Bellamy fought his way through bodies and the closer he got to Clarke, the realization dawned on him. Clarke was never hurt in the first place. That yell was a battle cry. In front of him stood a powerful woman, that both terrified and awed him. He watched as she cut down men as if she was slicing through a piece of paper. Blood dripped from her blade and soaked the arms of her shirt. When she turned Bellamy could see the color that was splattered on her face.
"Clarke..." he trailed off, not speaking loud enough for anyone else to hear.
It was no surprise to Bellamy to see Madi right by Clarke's side. Any normal person would've been worried about letting a young girl fight, but Clarke wasn't just any normal person. Neither was Madi. They were fighting back to back, in perfect unison. That is until a knife struck Madi in her side and Bellamy watched Clarke shatter in front of him.
