"I'll just show you where you'll be sleeping. Everyone else is probably already there" Clarke told Bellamy as they headed down to one of the lower levels of the lab. "The beds aren't going to be very comfortable. Madi and I just threw some stuff together a year ago... when we thought you'd be down."
Bellamy could hear a hint of sadness in her voice and it made him feel so guilty. For the entire year he pushed and pushed Raven to come back down, but he knew if they came before everything was ready it could've killed them. "It can't be much worse than what we had to sleep on back on the Ark."
Clarke opened a door at the bottom of the stairs and they walked into a small hallway. Bellamy looked down the hallway to see that it opened up into a much larger room.
Clarke spoke as they started the short walk down the hallway. "Nothing was down here when I first found it, but I think it could've been for storage. The room is too big for really anything else."
"So there was nothing down here at all?"
"Nope nothing. If it was actually used for storage I think Becca probably gave it all out when she came back down."
Bellamy thought about Clarke's possible theory. "I mean it makes pretty good sense."
They made their way into the room and Bellamy didn't realize how large the room actually was. The room was only brightened by a few dimly lit candles, making it hard for Bellamy to see much. He looked up and was able to see the ceiling was at least 20 feet high. In the back corner he could just barely see what looked like wire shelves, the exact ones they used to store rations at Arcadia. He looked in the middle of the room to see the rest of his group already fast asleep, tired from the events of the day.
Bellamy looked at the group confused. "I thought you said there was enough beds" he said in a hushed voice.
Clarke knew there were seven beds in there yesterday so she was just as confused as Bellamy was. "But there was enough beds" she said as she looked around the room. It didn't take her long to spot the missing bed. "Oh and we still have enough beds, it just seems like someone is being greedy."
Bellamy followed to where Clarke was pointing her finger to find Murphy spread out across two beds. "Murphy you bastard." Thanks to Murphy, Bellamy had no where to sleep and Murphy was definitely going to get an ear full tomorrow. It had been a long, eventful day and Bellamy just wanted to sleep. Almost as if Clarke could hear what he was thinking, she spoke up.
"I have a couch in my room you can sleep on. It's not the best but it'll be better than the floor." Clarke looked at Bellamy before turning around and heading back down the hallway. He looked over at his friends one more time before quickly following after Clarke.
It didn't long at all to reach Clarke's room. As soon as he stepped inside he immediately remembered the room. It was the room where he last heard Octavia's voice and the room where Clarke never got to hear her mother's. It may have been the same room but it definitely didn't look the same. Bellamy was shocked as he looked around the room. Every single wall in the room was covered in hundreds of drawings. They weren't just random drawings though, they were drawings of faces. As he stepped closer to one wall and looked over some of the drawings he realized he recognized the faces. They were faces of people who he knew and that's when it hit him, Clarke drew all these. This drawings were of her friends, the people she lost, and the people she thought she lost. He saw drawings of Wells, Finn, Lexa, and Lincoln on just one wall. Stepping over to another he saw Sinclair, Abby, Charolette, and even himself. Bellamy just stood there staring at the drawing Clarke had made of himself. He let his arm reach out, running his hand across the old paper. The entire time Clarke simply stood in the doorway watching Bellamy take in everything around him. She knew her room might be overwhelming, but she also wanted him to see it all. Bellamy continued to walk from wall to wall looking at the drawings until Clarke cleared her throat, gaining his attention.
