Alexis:
I sighed as john placed sarah on my bed.
"So are you going to tell me what happened or do i have to go ask my best friend?" He started and my eyes grew wide
"No!!!" I yelled.
He smirked and i shot him a glare.
"fine! He was about to kiss me. S-so i told him lets keep it professional" i said then looked away.
His jaws dropped and i walked out of my room.
"Let me get this straight....you like my best friend who's heart was just broken, and he was about to kiss you and you rejected him?" He said incredulously.
I nodded slowly as we reached the living room not knowing what to say
"why?" He asked and i snapped my head towards him.
I bit my lips as he waited for an answer.
"well before we left he told me he saw Emily and he was going on about how he missed her and he couldn't stop thinking about her and i just couldn't bring my self to kiss him when i knew he was pining over another girl. it just didn't sit well with me." I said and he nodded understandingly
"Can you do me a favor?" i asked
He frowned.
"What kind of favor?" he asked.
Then i told him. Everything about my brothers protectiveness to the lie i said.
John looked at me for a while before sighing.
"so um when do you want me to meet your brother?" He asked and i sighed in relief before i thought for a second.
"i can't on monday i'm-" i started but he cut me off.
"seeing Mike, yeah i know" he said grinning devilishly.
I rolled my eyes and nodded "How about next week monday after school? You can pick me up to go to school so you can just give me a ride home" i said and he nodded.
"yeah but i don't want mike to think-"
"What mike don't know
wont kill him!" I said cutting him off and he laughed shaking his head
"one day that saying will get you killed! But alright i got to go i'll see you tomorrow" he said as he started for the door.
I walked after him and almost. stumbled back as he quickly turned around.
"oh and tell river that shes cute when she sleeps." he said smirking and i frowned
"river?" I asked confused
"she drools to" he said then sent me a wink before leaving.
I burst out laughing as i closed the door after him.
I shook my head then made my way back to my room.
Before i went to sleep i took a quick shower and put on my pajamas.
I laid down next to my best friend and soon sleep overtook me.

Bam!
Bam bam bam!
The bag flew back at the force of my hits.
I heard the door to the basement open and i knew john was here.
But i ignored him as i continued to hit the punching bag.
I was breathing heavy as All that kept running through my mind was that she rejected me.
