Chapter 10 – Bailey
"Please, just one date?" Jamie was asking me once again; third time in the last two days.
I was waiting for Lucy as we're having a girls’ night.
"I told you. I'm just getting use to living here...”
"Listen, I like you and just want to get to know you better."
I couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or if he just wanted to get with me.
"Fine, but only as friends." I said, pointing my finger at him.
"Deal." He had a little smirk.
"Loss the smirk." I said.
Changing out of the silver dress I try on but didn't like the way it looked.
"Lucy, I have to tell you something."
"I know! I look good!" She answered with a huge smile.
"Yes, but no; I have a date..." Her eyes light up.
"With who?" She asked and I know she won't like the answer.
"Jamie." Her smile drops.
"But it's just as friends." I add.
"That doesn't make me feel any better."
"I know, I just really said yes to get him off my back; this is the only time." I said trying my sweetest smile with her.
"You have to send me text updates throughout it, so I know you're fine."
"Is he really that bad?"
"Bad doesn't even begin to cover it." She said walking off to try on a different dress. He can't be that bad... can he?
