Chapter 19 - Carlos and Jamie

Walking into the lunchroom I can see Bailey getting up and leaving. Is she really that mad at me that she can't stand being in the same room as me?

I sat down at my old table in front of my sister. I see her give Cole a little smile. I know that there's a part of me that believes Sophie was a huge part in all of this.

It's hard to believe that Bailey found out that way. I was going to take her out and then spill it all on the table, everything. But now she won't even be in the same room as me.

I just pushed the food around when Cole asked.

"So, any plans this weekend?"

That's all he seems to think about. The weekend has just ended and he's already for the next party. While, I just want to get out of here. On the plus side at less I'm not the only on Bailey's mad at.

Maybe, if I explain myself she'll give me another chance. Come on, she was way madder at Carlos and Lucy then she was at me, right?

Standing up I walked away; I could hear Sophie and Cole calling after me but I didn't care. On the down side of down side I haven't even seen Brooklyn all day; I'll deal with her next.

Bailey was walking around outside on her cell. Maybe she didn't leave the room because of me.

"You knew, this whole time and lied." She was yelling into the phone.

"I don't want to hear your excuses mom, you made me believe that he didn't want a family, but really it was me he didn't want." She stopped talking. She hasn't even seen I'm here yet.

"He has a kid a year younger then me!" She snapped.

"I do not want to hear it! Okay, the truth is all I want to hear but I can't even get that." She took a deep breath.

"No, I have to go. I don't want to miss class and that's the truth." She said hanging up the phone and turning around.

She rolled her eyes and pushed pass me.

"Bailey."

"What?" She yelled at me. I flinch then I just looked at her.

"That's what I thought." She started to walk away.

"I'm sorry."

"You're sorry." She turned and glared at me.

"For what, making me a bet, the part you got caught, or the fact you lost."

"You weren't just a bet."

"The classic line that all the guys use. Can't even come up with your own line?" Well, she did have a point there. I opened my mouth to try and make it up with a cheesy line but I was cut off.

"Save it, I don't care."

"Bailey." I reached take her arm but she pushed me away.

"I said save it, I don't care." I try again to stop her from walking away. But this time my face was meant with a fist. She had punched me in the face. I went to grab her arm, to make her look at me. So I cloud try explain but I was pushed back. Carlos was now staring next to her.

"Don't ever touch her again." I said to Jamie after pushing him away from her.

"Carlos..." Bailey was cut off.

Jamie took a swing at me but I moved just in time. Before I could think he swing and hit me on the right side of the face. I dove towards him punching all I cloud; I was sick of him and the kids like him. We were punching and kicking each other.

"Stop!" Bailey yelled.

"Stop, guys!" More voices yelled.

The next think I knew I was being pulled off of him.

"Let me go, I'm not done with him." Jamie yelled.

I yanked away from whoever was holding me back. I looked over at Bailey who was glaring at Jamie. After all he is the one who punched me first. Turning my head to see who was holding me back I see Chase stashing there.

"Come on, let’s get you some ice." Bailey said to me. I gave her a little smile before we walked off.

"Nice fight, Jamie." Cole said.

"Leave me the hell alone." I spat in his face and walked off. I can't believe she just left with him. I can't believe I punch him first. This is not how I wanted this to go. I was to sweep her off her feet and she would want to be mine. Why? Why, do I keep messing things up with her?

Bailey was walking with me so I cloud get some ice for my face even though the fight was between Jamie and me. Even though I would rather be at Lucy's she's the best when it comes to this stuff. I cloud be because she grow up with three brothers and her dad is in the army. But mostly because it’s for her.

"Bailey..."

"Please, Carlos."

"Just hear me out, and then if you still want nothing to do with me then I'll leave you alone, okay?"

"Fine, but just until we get to the office then you're time is up."

"Thank you." I said. She just nodded her head yes.

"First, I'm sorry, we're sorry we didn't tell you but I was hoping the Jamie would tell you. That he would come forward and tell you the truth."

"I just don't know why you guys didn't tell me right away."

"I was hoping it would be less hurtful for you coming from him then from us."

"Less hurtful, I found out that my so call friends were keep a secret from me."

"Well, Lucy wanted to tell you, but I told her to wait."

"Why?"

"Like I said, hoping Jamie would be a good guy and tell. But we were planning on tell you Saturday but the whole thing went wrong."

She didn't say anything.

"I am truly sorry."

She still didn't say anything. I said sorry, explained everything, and even got in a fight for her. There's nothing left that I can say or do.

We stopped in front of the office; I was waiting to see of she'd say anything.

"Thanks for beating up Jamie for me." Bailey said.

"I guess, I see where you’re coming from, I forgive you." She added.

I smiled at her then pulled her into a hug.

"Now let’s get some ice and a note because we're late for class." I said pulling her into the office.
