Chapter 3 – Bailey

Lucy and I sat in our last class of the day, I couldn't help but believe this day went well; other than Sophie that is. And all that was left was to meet with the headmaster, then I could head home and tell my aunt all about how she was right, this school is amazing. Lucy and I walked up to Ms.Maven's desk. "Hi, is the..."

"The headmaster had to cancel, another meeting came up; though he did want me to tell you welcome to the school and if you need anything drop him a note here at the office and he'll see what he can do." She smiled sweetly at me. "Oh, okay."

"I called your aunt for you by the way, didn’t want you to be stuck here; she said she'll meet you outside."

"Thank you, see you tomorrow." I smiled and waved.

"So, you live here with your aunt?"

"She was a teacher here, that's one reason I got in this year." I said walking down the hall.

"Really, who?"

"Annabel Bridge. Well, Anna Bridge now." Lucy's eyes lighting up, like little kid's eyes on Christmas morning believing that Santa had brought them everything they have asked for.

"Thee Annabel Bridge?" She asked, grabbing my arm, pulling me to a halt.

"Yes?" I said more as a question than an answer.

"I wrote my 'Who Inspires You?' scholarship paper on her last year; it's what got me this year scholarship!"

"No way!" She just looks at me, in a different way.

I know my aunt was 'famous' but not famous, famous.

"Would you like to meet her?" I asked, knowing the answer already. She lets out a small yelp of joy before she clears her throat and tries to cover up her fan girl action.

"Yea' cool, whatever." She says, looping our arms together, walking with a huge smile on her face.

We push through the doors. The sun shines down on us. Blinking a few times I see a group of three guys standing on the stairs. I see right away that one of them are Chase, from my dance class. He looks up and smiles at me; I smile back then walk by. I haven't talked to him since I found out he's going out with Sophie. Not that I don't think he's a nice guy, I do, but Sophie is totally a different story. I have only known her one day and I already know one, I don't like her, two I know she doesn't like me and three she's going to cause trouble.

"Bailey!" I turn to see Chase waving his hand for me to come.

When he had called my name the other guys turned to see who he was talking to. I realized who was on his right away. He had blond hair and was the one Lucy had called Mr. Poplar at lunch, which meant he was Sophie's twin brother.
