"Wait so did you tell her?!" I ask.

"No man. You need to do that shit, it's not up to me to tell her how you fucked up." Blake explains shooting a pissed off glare at me.

"Fine but why are you pissed? Harper is angry at you because you devised the plan I had nothing to do with her dodging you." I say.

We stop talking because we are on the ice for practice and we don't want Coach to haul our ass's into his office and give us a 15 minute lecture.

I'm in the locker room now and my legs are sore now. Blake and I finish our conversation we were having earlier on the ice.

"There's a party Friday night for Harper's birthday at Hastings.. Well it's not for her but Alex wanted to celebrate there since I guess she hates making a big thing about her birthday from what Alex told me. Go and tell her. For the love of god if she doesn't forgive me then I'm going to kill you for putting me into this mess." He warned.

I totally forgot.

3 years since I met her.. That night that got me into all of this chaos.

"Alright I got it. Does she know I'm coming? I don't just want to show up out of the blue, she seems to show like I've ruined her life enough maybe I should just stay out of the way." I insist.

"She was crying the night you told her what happened between you and Molly. I don't think she'll mind but that's up to you if you want to go see her and ask." Blake says.

I decided to drive over to Harper's dorm to talk to her but I guess I was too late and ended up finding Alex at the door instead of Harper.

"She's going to be at work till 10 so you can either wait till tomorrow or go see her at work now." Alex suggests.

I sigh, say nothing and thank her for the info on where I can find Harper and she shuts the door.

I drive over to Harper's work and it's a pretty
cool restaurant. There's a cool little speakeasy that's already starting to fill and a bar that is right across from the kitchen.

I look around to finally see Harper serving a big family. There's a little girl with the family too and she's smiling up at Harper. They are bonding and Harp is showing the girl how to draw.

Harper is usually in some sort of mood or sassy but seeing her really bond with people honestly makes me like her even more. She's amazing and loyal.. especially coming from the fact that things ended the way they did with Matt and she didn't try to make people choose between her or him makes her even better of a person.

Which reminds me of Matt. Fuck. I need to tell him.. at some point.

"What are you doing here?" I almost jump at hearing Harper's voice. She's looking at me with confusion and almost like a 'I don't have time for this' face.

"Oh I-I um.. had to ask you a question." I stutter. It's like words aren't even real to me right now. She has an apron on and her hair is up in a high pony tail. Her eyebrow is raised and she has her hand on her hip. Where did the non-sassy Harper go?

"Well tell me while I buss these tables, I don't want my boss to have a fit since she's been on my ass since I got back to work in February." She says shooting a look at her; I'm guessing boss, who's looking down at the both of us.

"There's a party.. on Friday at Hasting's. I know it's your birthday and I don't want to cause any more problems for you but I wanted to know if it's okay if I come?" I ask almost hesitating from bringing the idea up and regretting the fact I came to her work instead of just issuing this with her when she left.
