TristanI can't get enough of her..
Harper and I spent the rest of the yesterday together and while I should be practicing for my big game, I landed myself in bed with Harper last night.
Now it's almost 8am.
She's sleeping and I'm just staring at the little dimple she has on her cheek as she lays in bed with me, sleeping peacefully. I'm interrupted though by an alarm, her alarm. Harper wakes up and turns to her nightstand to turn off her alarm.
"I have to go to class." Harper groans, giving out a small yawn then hopping out of bed until I pull her back in and try to distract her by trying to persuade Harper with kisses.
"Don't leave, you can skip it. We have 3 years to catch up on." I mumble kissing her. I feel her smile against my mouth and give out a small laugh but she pulls away. Which is a problem because she's surprisingly really strong.
"We had yesterday and all last night to 'catch up'. And besides I can't skip, I'm behind on studying and need to pull myself back into school mode. I've been to busy doing lessons with Clay and this Dreamland competition and my boss has been working me crazy hours so I can't even focus so yes. I have to leave." Harper says walking to her dresser grabbing a pair of sweats.
She's in my t-shirt and it's twice her size. But my mind goes back to Clay. I've heard small details of him and have seen him around school. Blonde hair and seems pretty put together, spends too much time with Harper though. She doesn't need that much practice nor lessons anyway so I don't know why he keeps her so occupied.
I've heard her sing but not much. But the times I have, are pure fucking heaven. She could make a huge career with that voice of hers if you ask me.
"So Clay.. he into you or something?" I try to ask casually to hide my interest on if he's into her or not.
"More like into his girlfriend. Someone sounds jealous." She gives a teasing smile walking back over giving me a short kiss.
"I'm not jealous." I mumble even though it does kind of bug me. I've seen him with his girlfriend at parties and his eyes are not set on her, more like his eyes are darted on Harp.
"Nothing is going on there. I just really want to win this competition..." She says.
"Why? I saw the poster and yes it's a large prize but you have money Harper. What's so important about it?" I ask confused and she looks away.
There's something she's not telling me.
"It's just.. important to me. I love being on stage and thought it would be good opportunity." Harper explains getting more quiet and distant.
I don't dig deep into the conversation anymore and I just change the subject. I know if I keep picking it'll just piss her off.
"Need a ride?" I suggest walking over to her wrapping my arms around her waist.
"I'll just walk. It's not far from here and it's warmer than usual. Plus I don't want your coach to hate me or your teammates because you're late to practice from dropping me off to class. You have that game tonight remember?" Her reminding me and I check the time to see I'm late to practice.
"Shit you're right. Well text me when you get to class, I want to make sure you get there safely." Harper nods and I give her a quick peck on the cheek where her dimple is sitting from the small smile that has landed on her face.
I leave Harper's dorm and speed to practice. Bombay is going to kill me.
~~~
I snuck into the locker room just before practice started and Coach is sitting in his office so he most likely didn't get a chance to see me sneak in and notice I was late.
