You sat on your little bench, looking out into your indoors garden. Perhaps small by garden size, yet it was your little sanctuary- your piece of outdoors in the safe havens of your temple, where you could sit in peace and watch the water flow through the feature to nourish the plants.

It was a variety of fauna from across morrowind, with flowers, scrubs and fungi interwoven with each other, up around the mushroom trees. The light was dim, a few lanterns lit around you and a desk of books you had to read. Your librarian refreshed your selection not but 5 hours ago, but that was the only disturbance you had.

The bench you sat in was covered in fine silks, cushioning your body as you relaxed into it, a mages light aiding you in your reading.

For your hair, it remained out and resting around you, framing your face beautifully. The silks you wore flowed off your body and rested with the other cloths around you,

Peaceful. A god of all things quiet and tranquil, of the simplicities in life.

The sound of the doors opening and closing gained a curious response from you. You weren't expecting visitors, yet still welcomed them. You glanced over your shoulder, and a warm smile formed on your face.

There she stood, her beautifully red hair remained out for a change but kept in place by the confines of her crown. She had ditched the armour, and instead suited a plain but revealing dress, with all her tattoos on show.

"Lovely to see you again, Ayem." Greeting her warmly, you wove her over to you. She approached you, and took a seat on the floor beside you and leaned into the bench and you, hiding her face away.

You gently played with her hair, helping her to feel the safety of the confines of your sanctuary- a place of unseen freedom where she could be herself.

"What worries you, my dear?" You asked, not expecting an immediate answer.

It remained quiet for a while, but you had no doubts she knew the words. That's what gods were cursed with, knowing everything but being lost in it all. You knew she needed time, and that was okay.

"How do you find peace in all the responsibility? How can it come easily like it does for you? I cannot help but struggle."

"My work as a god is my natural sphere of influence, suited to me." You explained, and she remained quiet. "You must figure out what is natural to you, what you rule over- not what you think you should be."

"But this is who I am, I am the mother of morrowind, The lady of mercy, the warden and protector of morrowind." She seems sure, yet her confusion was not hidden.

"Is it who you are, or who you and everyone else thinks you are?" Your question dug deep into her.

You knew what the internal battles she faced were. The feeling where you tried to be something you weren't, and feeling the drain and struggles it subjected you to.

"You lie to yourself. You tell yourself tales of who you should be, yet they are not who you are. You are nurturing, but not everything- and you don't need to be." You knew she may not want to hear you, but you knew she came to listen to you. She came for your advise, and you knew she didn't not resent what she sought.

"I don't feel I ever figured out who I am. Vehk knew who he was and wanted to be, Seht already knew his sphere. I felt that I had to know." She confided in you.

You sat yourself up more in your seat. "Not everyone figures themselves out at the same time, it's a process with length. Yet you were thrown into a situation where you did not have the space to learn and grow as a person, you were in a space where people watched you from every angle and you no longer had time."

"So my identity never had a chance..." she muttered, defeated by herself.

You sighed, gently soothing her. "Do not shut yourself off. Do not give up, or become bitter and hide from yourself. You must give yourself what you have kept from yourself."

"I don't understand." Was all she said.

"You will with time."

Your answerers appeared to calm her storm, your comfort soothing the worries that kept her mind racing. She looked up to you, and you could see the exhaustion in her face that started to catch up to her.

You welcomed her beside you, and she lay at peace- resting her mind and body in peace as though she had never done so before.
You had taken her into your arms, given her advice and council she had sought, and comforted her as she needed.

You calmed her mind, given her peace in her storm so she could find the shore, and you hoped it would not sink her. She would have to find her own path, and swim by herself, but you hoped she had the strength to do it.

You let her rest for hours, as you knew it was going to be okay.

Just the brief tranquility was enough.
