·˚· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ WALKING OVER THE RIVER'S BRIDGE, chapter XVIIII

With the overwhelming roar that the crowd provided, the whistle finally blew to indicate the end of the game. Multiple groups on the stands had been dressed in bright colours, all of them waving their pride up high when the event had concluded. The round between Cellmoor Academy and the final school that they were facing came to a close with both schools cheering aloud for the winning team. It didn't seem like there was any sort of bad blood or rivalry between the two academies, only good sportsmanship.

Ms Silver practically jumped back at Miss Nihachu's jubilant screech as the pink-haired lady pumped a fist into the air at the stand. Like always, their attires perfectly contrasted with each other, with Ms Silver still donning her perfect uniform and Miss Nihachu being clothed in merchandise and colourful knits. Her hair was even tucked beneath a sports cap, one which the headmistress had tried hard to get her to take off- of which to no prevail. Despite the fact that she was showing pride towards the school's players, Ms Silver just became even more resentful towards her assistant.

As the crowd continued to cheer, Miss Nihachu rotated herself very slightly on her heel to turn towards the woman beside her. She was still wearing her bright grin at the principal, hoping that Ms Silver would just attempt to match her expression. Although, Miss Nihachu's smile was quick to fade when the woman just shot her an unamused glare. Miss Nihachu felt her entire body recoil as she was given the mental note that she was an adult, and shouldn't be acting this way. She still liked to believe that she was young a heart, but Ms Silver always took away her right to be excited about something whenever she could.

And as for the students, they all began flocking down towards the players the first chance that they received. As soon as they were given the heads up and the permission to stand on the pitch, the field became an overwhelming swarm of multiple teenagers going to find their footballer friends. Multiple players had teamed up again with their buddies to greet them with high-fives and fist-bumps, while others just started screaming congratulatory remarks.

The first person that Dream's eye had caught onto as soon as he took his helmet off was a certain student council girl that approached him with a proud smile stretched across her lips. The fact that she appeared alone confused him a little, but he supposed that he could be gladdened by the occurance. Most of his surprise came when (Y/n) had greeted him with open arms, her mouth opening up to an enthusiastic smile.

He wasn't entirely sure what to do in that moment, so he just followed her movement, awkwardly leaning down to hug her as she gave him a celebratory pat on the back before immediately pulling herself away.

"Oh, uh-" She chuckled, folding her sleeves over her palms to dab it across her blazer. "-You're a little sweaty..."

"Oh, sorry-" Dream let out a nervous chortle, scratching the back of his neck.

"It's okay!" She chirped reassuringly. "It was a good game. You played well, obviously."

"Thanks." The blonde quickly darted a swift glance over (Y/n)'s shoulder, only to be met with emptiness. His eyebrows knit with a little puzzlement, fumbling with the helmet in his hands. "No Tommy?"

"Huh?" (Y/n) abruptly turned on her heel to look behind her to match Dream's view before she realised what he had just said. "Oh, no. No Tommy. Or anyone else. It's just me, sorry."

"Don't be sorry. I'm glad you're here." He smiled down at her. "But how come they didn't show up? Are they alright?"

"Tommy and Wilbur are upset so Techno and Tubbo went to console them." She stated in a very nonchalant tone, stuffing her hands into the pockets of her blazer.
