when the stars finally aline

"Truth or dare Jamie," Sirius asks swirling  back a swig of vodka lemonade

"Who do you think I am? Dare Siri" James challenged swaying from side to side.

Sirius just smirked and looked directly towards James

"I dare you to kiss the next Slytherin you see"Sirius confirms

"Oh hell no. Not the slimy Slytherins" James protested

"A dare is a dare Prongsie" Peter argued

James just grunted as his slightly intoxicated friends.

"And where do you expect me to find said Slytherin, I am banned from the common room after the dung bomb incident," James tells them

"The library. Look I'll come with you. I'm the least intoxicated and I'll tell them when you have completed it" Mooney suggests

James grunts again, this time sounding way too animalistic but never the less stood up and headed in the direction of the library.

"Moons why can't you just say I did it? Knowing my luck I'll be stuck with Snivellous  and I'll have grease on my lips forever more" James complained walking in the vague direction of the library

"Because a dare is a dare and Padfoot said so" Remus confirmed

"Just because your freaking in love with him and you'll do anything he says," James told him with a sulk

"HEY I-" Remus protested

"Don't you even try and deny it. I see the way you look at him every time. It's the same look I give Lily. The look of love" James stated

That was enough to make Remus shut up. He instead opted to sigh and point his head to the ground all the way until we reached the library.

"Let's get this shit done with" James announced entering the room as he was scanning the room his heart was beating, his palms were sweating and he reminded himself to fully hex that sneaky dog once he got back to his dorm but suddenly he realised there was only a few Slytherins lurching in the common room, Regulus black, Evan rosier and Barty Crouch Jr.

He was not going to object to kissing any of them. They were hot boys. The only issue was that his eyes first locked with Regulus Black which meant he was going to have to kiss his best friend's little brother.

On top of that, he realised suddenly he did not mind kissing a Slytherin and even more. His heart rate had grown faster. His face started blushing and he did not want to pull away from the eye contact just created.

James did not understand. James did not like men in that way but here he was in the library feeling the  emotions purely related to one of a crush and he was about to kiss his best friend's baby brother and yet he kind of wanted it to happen

James had never felt more heartbroken in his life. He had never been without Sirius and Sirius had never been without James.

But here he was curled in regulus arms sobbing about one Sirius Black.

"What If he never forgives me? What If I have lost my best friend forever? I'll never be whole again reg. I just.." James tried to explain before breaking down into a set of fresh tears again

"James. I promise you. He will forgive you. He's just stubborn but honestly, the only  person he has it in him to hate is his  mother and father because honestly, they are both utter arseholes" Regulus admits

"But.." James tries through sobs

"No buts and please stop crying you really are breaking my heart right now. Your beautiful Jamie but I just hate it when you cry when tears fill your face my heart breaks. Just, please. Be positive and for now. I'm here. I've got you" Regulus tells James whilst linking up their hands and looking up at him
