Thirty-one

Bajirao and I spend almost the whole day with Virat and for myself it's was the happiest moments I had in a long time,but all good moments must come to an end with Bajirao having to return to the palace as the prince and future king of Jhansi.

"I wish I could stay with you forever!".he said while holding Alia tight around her waist.

"Me too my prince!".I replied.

"But don't worry.....soon we will see each other!".

"Yes we will".

"Now....I have to go see my family which will probably kill me with a thousand questions from my whereabouts!".he said a giggle.

"Wish I had a family like yours!".I said with sadness coming out my voice.

he lift up my face and said with a smile"we are your family!".he replied and hugged me once again.

I held Virat in my arms and he kissed his forehead and said"goodbye Meri jaan!".

"Goodbye see you soon!".we walked to the entrance and I stood there when Raj with Nadia came
and Bajirao and his guards got on their horses,he smiled one last time at us and I waved back at him and he turned around and left racing towards the palace.

I looked down at Raj and asked"what wrong!".

"I'm hungry Ammi!".Raj said.

"Why didn't you tell me....I will make you something quickly!".I went and lay Virat Sameer on the bed and ran to the kitchen which on the left side of the palace and made these two little rascals some food.

The sound of horses arriving at the palace and Raja(king) Vikram Singh with a few minsters were discussing the usual plans and politics of the kingdom when they looked up and saw the prince returning,his face all happy and his father dismissed the minsters and they left and Bajirao stop his horse infront of his father and the guards left his side.

He jumped off his horse and went down and touched his father feet and embrace his father tightly and  said"Namaste Baba!".he said with a smile

"Namaste beta........why are you so happy? and secondly where were you last night?,we were all so worried about you!".his father said with a worry expression and held his hand on Bajirao shoulder.

"It's great news.....but I want the entire family to hear this!".he replied but also realized that not everyone will be happy especially his mother and Meera.

He tugged his arm in his father and they walked to the palace.they carried on walking through the palace walls and corridors and asked one of the servants to tell the family to see him in the main hall.Bajirao and his father arrived in the hall and went and stood infront of the thrones of the royal family,they waited but his father couldn't help and tap on Bajirao shoulder"beta.....what is this great news huh?".he asked with a small smile on his lips.

"Wait baba.....you will hear soon enough!".he replied walking back and forth.

Not long,the servant opened the doors of the main hall and came in his mother,sister and Meera all with worried expressions.he told the servant to leave and the servant left,his mother ran up to him and asked"beta where were you all night??......I was so worried!".

"Ji Bhai(yes brother)where were you and what's the news you have to tell us huh?".

"Probably with that tawaif (Courtesan) again!........why are you guys so surprised?".Meera replied with giggle.

"Don't say that!".Rani Kashi said.

What do you mean beta?".Raja Vikram asked.

"It's obvious who he goes to when he leave the palace and comes anytime he want to!".She said with grin between her words.

"Call her tawaif or you will".

"You will see what huh?......beat me up or wait manhandle me like you did the last time!".she shouted out her answer in agony and the family was shock with hearing such horrors of what Bajirao did and his sister comfort Meera.

Bajirao look at them not sure what to say but answer them with a sad expression"it's true.......up to date I haven't had the courage to apologize for my mistake and that I'm in love with Alia......I don't care what she was cause she not one anymore!"he said raising his head up to look them in the eye.

"What do you mean....not a tawaif anymore how?".Rani Kashi asked with suspicious look on her face.

"Laal Mahal was burned to the ground this morning and my men and I freed the girls from that place and killed the owner with her henchmen of the kotha and Alia stays at our old vacation home.you can still see the flames from Laal Mahal burning from the palace!".he said.

"What nonsense is this!.....you are in love with a tawaif and she staying at our vacation home......that girl will leave our home at once or I will kill her!".Raja Vikram said with rage as he almost tried to slap Bajirao and the girls got scared.

"Slap me if you must but If you touch Alia,I will break all tires with y'all and kill you!.......also the real reason that I wanted to share great news with you guys is that I'm a father!". Bajirao replied with a grin between his words and a fearless expression.

"A father?......I'm not following!".

Meera fell to the ground on her knees and said"he means Alia gave birth to his child.......never thought this secret would ever come out and like this!".she said with tears escaping her eyes.

A hard slap came across his face from his mother who was both shock and terrified with what she was hearing and said"what will the people say about this if it comes out and secondly you are engaged to Meera!".she answered.

"You disgust me truly.......now it's make sense why you kept per posting the wedding!".Raja Vikram said with sad expression.

"The truth is clear that I don't love her and only love Alia....that final!". Bajirao said with a firm voice looking them in the eyes.
