After ko isa-isa ipinakilala ang mga staff kay Bella, nagkagulo na ang mga ito sa kakakuha ng selfie kasama siya.
Kakagaling lang namin mula sa office ni Mr. Lopez, ang CEO ng TV station na pinagtatrabahuan ko.
"After three days pa tayo mag-start ng shooting para sa guesting mo," I told her when finally bumalik na sa trabaho ang mga kasama ko.
"I'm excited," she replied, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
I can see how excited she is, and it makes me smile.
"Next week naman ang photoshoot para sa magazine cover mo. Sa Baguio tayo pupunta. The photographer is my friend. Remember Andy?"
Tumango si Bella, her expression lighting up.
"I heard about him through Yanie," she said, recalling their mutual connection.
Magtatanong pa sana ako nang tumunog ang phone nito.
"Excuse me," she said, bahagya siyang lumayo bago sinagot ang tawag. Pero narinig ko parin ang pangalang binanggit niya.
"Hi Michael," she greeted, and I could feel my nostrils flaring as I stared at her back, a pang of jealousy creeping in.
"Direk Zayne," a voice on the other end said, pulling my attention away from Bella.
Napalingon ako sa tumawag, and I was met with a raised eyebrow from Lily.
"Para kang papatay ng tao. May kaaway ka ba?" tanong nito, a teasing smile on her face.
"Kakarating mo lang?" I shot back, trying to deflect her question.
"Yes. I heard she's here," Lily replied, glancing toward Belle, who had just finished her call.
Lumapit sa amin si Bella.
"Bella, hi. I'm Lily, the production designer," she introduced herself with her usual charm.
"Hi Lily. Nice to meet you," nahihiyang sagot ni Bella, a hint of nervousness in her voice.
"Wow, you really look gorgeous. I can't wait to work with you," Lily exclaimed, clearly impressed.
"Thank you, Lily. But I'm sorry, I have to go," Bella said suddenly.
Napakunot noo ako.
Biglaan?
"San ka pupunta?" tanong ko, a mix of curiosity and concern in my voice.
"May kikitain lang ako sandali," she replied, her tone light but her expression unreadable.
"Ihahatid kita __," I insisted, feeling an urge to protect her.
"No need, Z. Magta-taxi na lang ako. I'll message you later kung anong oras ako makakauwi," she assured me, but I wasn't completely convinced.
Still, I walked her to the building exit until she was safely inside a waiting taxi.
