The Day Out

Scarlett

When Ryder asked me if I wanted to skip the rest of the school day I was so happy. I jumped up and down and ran for the door without anyone caring I look like an idiot. I reached his car and waited for him.

"Ry...Where are we actually going?"

"That's a surprise"

"ugh...the wait is killing me already....tell me"

"No Scarlett you have to wait....I promise you'll love it"

"fine"

Ryder

I wanted to take Scarlett to the beach like I anticipated the other day. I decided I was going to tell her how I feel today... hopefully she feels the same. Before we reached the beach I grabbed a blindfold and made Scar wear it.

"Ugh...seriously Ryder! Why do I have to wear this?"

"Because it's a surprise"

"Can I take it off now?"

"Princess....you just put it on"

"worth a shot" she said and folded her arms pouting like a little child.

I just laughed at her childishness she was so cute. I stopped the car and helped Scarlett out and lead her to the place.

"Okay Scarlett... you can take the blindfold off now"

she took it off and looked in awe.

When I took my blindfold off, I saw the most beautiful thing ever. There was a table in the middle of the beach and was covered in rose petals. There was a candle lit in the middle of the table and a violin playing in the background.

"You did all this Ry...When?"

"I did it in the morning....I wanted to surprise you....do you not like it?" he said.

"Like it? I love it so much. I can't believe you went through so much trouble"

"only for you princess" he said winking.

"Aww...That's so sweet of you"

We sat down on the table and just stared at each other I decided that I'm going to tell him the truth today.

"Wanna go for a swim?" Ryder asked

"umm...I haven't packed for the beach though"

"don't worry....I packed it for you"

"when?"

"I told you I sorted everything out in the morning"

"oh"

"let's just get changed"

I was waiting for Scarlett to finish getting changed. Why do all girls take forever? I finally hear the door unlock so I turned around to see Scarlett. She looked beautiful. This girl is killing me.

"What's wrong Ry?"

"hmm....oh....nothing"

"okay?....let's go and swim then"

We went towards the water and I pushed Scarlett in.

"oh you are so paying for that" she said

"like to see you try"

All of a sudden she pulled me in to the water and started laughing

"oh so you think that's funny?"

"Yeah I do...what you going to do about it?"

I splashed water in her face.

"That's what I'm going to do"

"oh...you've just created a war Ry" Scarlett said jokingly.

We spent hours at the beach and saw the sunset. Scarlett begged me if we could go star gazing and I finally agreed. We were lying down on the sand and I quickly glanced at Scar to find that she was looking at me at the same time. I leaned in towards her ears and whispered...

"Scar?"

"Yea Ryder"

"promise you won't freak out"

"I promise"

"I....I..."

"you what? "

"I...think....I...want..."

"Carry on"

"the truth is I love you Scarlett. I can't remember when I developed these feeling for you but I know it's there. I love everything about you...the way you smile...the way you laugh....how you act....you drive me crazy and I know I can't spend a day without you" I blurted out.

Scarlett just stood there. Eyes wide open. I knew she didn't feel the same way.

Oh my god....did Ryder just say he loved me? Am I daydreaming? I looked at him sinking in every word. He confessed. I was over the moon. I looked at him and he was starting to get upset. He was about to walk away when I grabbed his hand.

"Don't walk away from me after confessing your feelings and not hear a reply"

"Scarlett....I know you don't feel the same way...its fine"

"whoa hold up...who said that? Ry I freaking love you.....I love you so much words can't even describe."

"Wait you love me?" Ryder asked

"yes Ryder....I love you"

"I love you too"

We both stared at each other. Ryder was moving closer and closer to me. I only realised when we were an Inch away from each other. I could hear my heart beat became so fast and loud. I closed my eyes and our lips finally connected with each other... My first kiss with Ryder Daniels felt magical, like everyone described it would. I kissed back... our lips in sync...I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist.

We pulled back for air...I was breathing so heavily...our foreheads leaning against each others, both of us staring at each other. Ryder whispered in my ear....

"I love you princess"

"I love you too Ry..." I said

"well...In that case...."

he kneeled down on one leg and opened up a box that had the most beautiful ring in.

"will you officially be my fiancée"

I nodded my head and allowed him to put the ring on. It was beautiful. He got up and kissed my check and we head home.
