Cale Henituse is going to war for a woman.
The selfless but upright-merciless-cold-blooded Marshal is going to war for a woman.
A woman.
Yes, a woman.
Even if one continues to repeat it, the ruthless hero is going to war for a woman.
No matter how people try to understand the logic, has Cale Henituse been within the scope of logic?
Of course not.
Has Cale Henituse been easy to understand?
Of course, it's a no - he's beyond understanding that the only people who knew him were the people around him.
The next question is, do they really understand him?
There's the god of death, laughing like a bastard shit from the heavens, rolling his ass out, because his favorite is dead serious about going to war for a woman.
"SO ROMANTIC!!!"
"Really?"
"It's the Marshal's wife! Of course, he will!"
No matter how Clopeh and Alver spread this rumor, no one believed it, to the point where Clopeh wanted to beat them up and bring them to the frontlines for fuck's sake!
They could never understand the greatness of the legend!

However, the people surrounding Cale are no ordinary people.
The Grand Mage, Rosalyn. The Swordmaster, Choi Han. The necromancer, Mary. The Whipper Kingdom's king, Tunka. Paerun Kingdom's guardian knight, Clopeh Sekka. The Whale Tribes. The Jungle. Even the Caro kingdom and the Breck kingdom sent reinforcements for the Young Marshal.
"Are you going to occupy my empire?" Claude snorted and sipped some tea. He was chatting with Deruth normally—yes, normally—as if they were some sort of best friend about tea. He appeared bored, but he had a shady relationship with Deruth, his daughter's father-in-law.
"I have no intention of taking your kingdom, father-in-law, but for my wife, this has to be it. It can burn or be razed to the ground for all I care."
"Hm."
Cale was explaining things beforehand. His plan was flawless, but the way he introduced several other plans made Claude shake his head and say, "You don't have to do anything... just take her back..."
"Obelia's Emperor is right. Just focus on rescuing the Lady."
"Then who will do the diversion?"
Claude set the teacup down and looked at him, "I will."
Cale looked at the cold man and honestly asked, "I want to know the reason for the change of heart."
Claude stiffened but honestly answered, "It is indeed my fault."
"The black magic." Cale spoke, "why did you cast it in the first place?"
Ron looked at him and signaled for everyone to go out first. Claude noticed this and waited for them to leave. Even if they're close, this is an issue that only family can hear. The only ones left are Claude, Cale, Violan, and Deruth.
"Because of love." the emperor coolly said, "I couldn't bear the loss."
"And you blamed it all on her."
Claude remained silent, but he was not making any excuses about being a shitty father. He has no intention of asking for forgiveness or doing anything with their relationship.
