*crash!*

"Your Majesty!" Felix's scream filled the serene halls of the Garnett Palace.

Bottles of wine crashed on the floor, pillows were tattered, feathers were all over the room, and a disheveled emperor was filled with rage and hatred.

"Is there a reason that I should bother to remember your face?!"

Those screams made the red knight buckled on his knees. It's been a year.

It's been two years since he came back with the Princess's ashes.

It's been two years since the emperor had fallen into a state of restlessness.

He couldn't sleep.

He couldn't rest.

He just screams at every moment names and curses every time he's alone.

"I've already long forgotten the likes of a dead person's face. Just leave my mind already!"

A pitiful man.

The emperor was such a pitiful man.

Felix entered the room readying himself to strike when this person snaps.

"your majesty."

Claude, too lost, his jeweled eyes that lost their light looks at him, "you should rest, Youg Majesty."

Felix watched this man throw away the last bottle of liquor.

"she won't be back." He said in his most honest and warm tone. "Not Lady Diana... not Princess Athanasia."

He didn't know what happened to Claude, but it seems that the black magic he once used was slowly breaking.

"She's gone." They're gone.

"How foolish."

Felix didn't move. He felt thousands of wind blades around him. He looked straight at the person in front of him and said, "even if you kill me... she won't come back."

Claude harshly breathes as he fell on his back, leaning on the pillar of his room, as sat on the ground.

The thousand wind blades disappeared.

Felix. Poor Felix. He didn't dare approach the man. He looked at him straight in the eye and sat on the very same floor, "you were too late, Your Majesty."

Even if that person is alive, for the sake of her self-found happiness – Felix is willing to lie.

He didn't understand how the black magic he cast on himself broke, but Felix was sure that it was bound to happen sooner or later.

"she's dead."

"no, she is not..."

There are no memories between them, so why is he searching for him.

"you were never a good father to her..." Felix's words were like spears that stabbed Claude's heart, "why are you searching for the child you denied yours? Didn't you want... to kill her? So why now?"

"Felix..."

"I don't understand..." Felix honestly said, "you have my utmost loyalty... and I will never deny you are a good emperor... but... if you truly loved that person... you would've protected that child and not abandoned her..."

Claude's eyes were filled with remorse that he had never seen in his whole life.

"Your Majesty..." Felix Robane called out once again, "you are the one who drove her to death."
