~Four Years Ago, Obelia~

The grand banquet for the Princess' Debutante was prepared. Ruby Palace was in complete silence, as no one cared for the abandoned princess. It was Felix Robane who came to greet her that night but no one met the red knight.

Everything was left in the palace, except, there was no princess nor her attendant who lived there.

"tell his majesty..." alarmed, Felix made the decision, "I will chase after the princess."

"that wench?" Claude coldly said. His eyes were on the empty dancefloor. He just talked to that wench a week before. He remembers her asking what would she do to gain his love.

Pathetic.

Utterly pathetic.

He stood up and readied himself to leave. It doesn't matter to him whether she lived or die. She left by herself, she needs to beg if she wants to come back.

However, something deep inside him was breaking, screaming – the tedious feeling slowly dissipated – changed with the absurd emotion he once killed.

Give chase.

Don't let her go.

As if he can hear someone – begging him to follow after that wench.

"Your Majesty..."

The Alpheus Ducal Household head stopped him from leaving.

He glanced down, and a girl with brown hair, that resembled that wench came into his view.

What is this fool pulling now?

"You know that I have taken care of a ward from years back..." Duke Alpheus said, "She is your Majesty's daughter..."

Bejeweled blue eyes. Eyes like that the runaway wench also had.

Amusing.

He thought. "I'd hear it then..."

That wench daughter is his? He wanted to laugh out loud but stopped himself. He listened to Duke Alpheus's nonsense but Claude was sure, that the child never belonged to him.

"How confident are you?" he asked.

"Penelope only has you, Your Majesty."

He snorted and leans back. "amusing."

That day, Claude took Jenette. The nobles demanded for that wench be placed in Emerald Palace. They're trying to usurp the throne by controlling the poor doll.

Days went by, and Claude would spend his time with the child declared to his. It irks him. There's the repulsive feeling but he needed to know what this wench brought him from the nobles. He wanted to find out how this wench would try and ask for his favor.

Claude who lost his emotions felt nothing but repulsion.

He is sure that this child is not his.

However, everything turned out differently the first time that wench touched him.

One by one, the seals he placed on himself broke.

Memories after memories filled his head.

His heart ached, his head ached, and his being felt like being torn apart at every memory he gains.

Diana.

The name of the girl he deeply loved.

His days of isolation began when those memories continued to hunt him in his sleep until he can no longer sleep.
