Chapter Ten: Senbonzakura

Kakashi and Sasuke faced each other in the clearing, without hesitation or fear, Sasuke threw a kunai towards Kakashi.

Kakashi simply sidestepped the attacks but was impressed at the speed in which the kunai was thrown, it was at least high chūnin level.

" I saw that little spar yesterday, you got your ass handed to you by Natsumi, and I beat Natsumi. So what makes you think you have a chance against me? " Kakashi asked, trying to get under Sasuke's nerves.

However, Sasuke had more self-control than that. He knew as of now, Naruto was faster, smarter, stronger, and more efficient than him.

However, he needs to stick with the plan and he will win and get closer to kill Izumi and possibly find out the truth of that day.

Sasuke wasted no time and rushed towards Kakashi, they entered a taijutsu battle where they were about even in combat.

Of course Kakashi was holding back and so far he was impressed with Sasuke's skill in taijutsu and reaction time.

Kakashi knew that Sasuke had yet to achieve his sharingan, but this was good progress. However, the interesting thing came when Sasuke jumped into the air.

Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger, " Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu " ( Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu ). Kakashi's eyes widened as he had to dodge a large fireball from Sasuke.

The fireball hit the ground which incinerated the ground and grass to ass, the smoke cleared to reveal Kakashi perfectly fine but he was sweating a little from the heat.

" That was good, but you need to check all you angels, " Kakashi announced while disappearing into a cloud of smoke, Sasuke's eyes widened and he looked everywhere for Kakashi.

' Where is he…up, right, or left. He could be anywhere… ' Sasuke thought while examining his area, however, he heard a small rumbling under his feet.

' He's down, ' Sasuke thought, but by then it was too late. Two pairs of hands wrapped around Sasuke's ankles.

With a hard pull, Kakashi pulled Sasuke down into the ground. Kakashi appeared from the ground with a smirk, " You are definitely genin material, possibly chūnin material. It's a shame you have to be taken out this early into the training, " Kakashi said while Sasuke smirked.

" Who says I'm out of the picture, " Sasuke said, with a puff of smoke, Sasuke was gone, replaced with a log.

Kakashi's eyes widened as Sasuke was alright behind him, but it was too late as tag was placed on him.

Not a second later, the sizzling sound of an explosion tag started. Kakashi's eyes widened as he looked at the tag.

It was your basic explosion tag you can buy, fortunately for Kakashi, Sasuke placed the explosion tag on his right arm where his under shirt was.

Without hesitation, Kakashi ripped the piece of his shirt which in return got rid of the explosion tag on his body.

Kakashi threw the piece of shirt as far as he could, and not a moment later the explosion tag went off completely incinerating the shirt and the nearby surroundings.

Kakashi looked at Sasuke with a eye smile, " That was really good, but now it's over, " Kakashi said while disappearing and reappearing behind Sasuke.

In a flash, Kakashi karate chopped Sasuke which knocked him out, " And now there is one…possibly the most terrifying and dangerous one out of the three, " Kakashi said while disappearing.

Unknowingly missing the unique seal places on his right arm and Sasuke missing from sight.

— An Hour Later —

Kakashi was annoyed as hell, he tried to find Naruto for thirty minutes and failed horribly, he used every shinobi sensing technique that he knew but he couldn't find Naruto at all.

He had even summoned his personal pack of dogs and tried to smell him, but that also failed horribly since they couldn't find him at all.

Kakashi was searching once again, however, he found absolutely nothing. He was currently in the middle of the main clearing where he beat Natsumi.

The timer would end within ten minutes, " Huh…I guess this team failed. I really hoped your children would pass this exam, sensei. Well there's always next year, " Kakashi thought while watching the sky pass with the slow and calm shadows passing by.

Kakashi looked down and noticed something pass him, a small little rabbit passed by running as fast as its little legs could take him.

Kakashi also noticed how the wind picked up in speed, Kakashi's reflexes were telling him that a massive storm was coming.

Kakashi's eyes widened and a cold shiver went down his spine, in front of him was a massive pillar of pure raw power in a bright white color.

The explosion of pure power blows back the tree with Kakashi needing to use chakra to stick his feet to the ground.

" Amazing!! Such power, I can sense Naruto's chakra signature. He has enough power to compare to every shinobi in Konoha right now!! " Kakashi thought, almost immediately, that the explosion of power was over.

Kakashi immediately rushed towards the power, halfway he lifted up his headband. No average genin was able to produce that level of power that could rival kages.

Eventually Kakashi landed in the middle of the clearing, in front of him just a few feet away was none other than Uzumaki Naruto.

In his right hand was his sword, Kakashi immediately pulled out a kunai and got his sharingan ready for combat.

Naruto was facing away from Kakashi while looking up at the sky, " You know why I like the sky? " Naruto said while turning around a little to make eye contact with Kakashi.

Naruto turned once again to view the sky, " It's so calm and peaceful, which is the exact opposite of what's happening on the ground. Two sides of the coin, but one side is tainted in war and death, while the other is filled with peacefulness and calmness, " Naruto said, Kakashi nodded his head in agreement. Of course he saw the death and pain of the world which is the exact opposite of the sky, it's Yin to its Yang.

" I hate fighting, I've always been a pacifist at heart. However, I'll do what must be done for the greater good and for my loved ones, that's why I respect people who sacrifice themselves for the greater good, " Naruto explained, Kakashi nodded his head but he also needed to do his job.

Kakashi pulled out his old tantō he got when joining the anbu, while he might be retired from the anbu life, he was allowed to keep his old mask and tantō blade.

Considering that Naruto is a swordsman, it would only be fitting to fight him with a tantō. Kakashi swung his tantō to Naruto's head, fully knowing that Naruto could dodge, block, or parry the attack.

However, what Kakashi didn't what for hid tantō blade to be reflected from nothing, once moment he was about to slash Naruto, then his blade was blocked by something not even his sharingan could notice.

Then Kakashi noticed it, Naruto's blade was gone with only the hit of his blade left. Naruto turned around fully and faced Kakashi.

" I'll defeat you…before you can even swing your tantō again, "
