Chapter Twenty-Six: Special Threat 

"Tree climbing?!" Natsumi asked, completely unamused by such a boring thing to do. "Yeah..." Kakashi said, "Sounds boring," Natsumi thought while crossing her arms.

"What kind of training is that?" Sasuke asked, trying to keep an open mind on things but slowly losing his patience. "Well listen to the end. This tree climbing isn't your normal tree climbing, you'll be climbing without your hands" Kakashi said.

"Sounds fun," Natsumi thought in excitement, "How exactly???" Sasuke asked, now completely unamused with such a foolish concept.

"Well watch," Kakashi said, all of team seven saw a thin red outline around Kakashi's feet as the sensei of team seven walked on the tree without falling or using his hands.

Kakashi simply walked like he was walking on the ground, of course it was extremely slow since he was still in crunches while walking.

"H-H-He's climbing," Natsumi said, completely amazed while Kakashi stood under a tree branch without falling down.

"Vertically climbing without any use of his arms, just legs" Sasuke said, his unamusement leaving his body as he felt amazed at the possibilities with chakra.

"You understand now? Gather your chakra at the bottom of your feet and climb the tree. This is something you can do automatically when you gain masterful chakra control" Kakashi said, now dangling from the tree branches without anything but chakra.

"Wait a minute!! How is learning to climb a tree going to make us stronger?!!" Sasuke yelled out to Kakashi.

"It would. Here's the main part. Now listen closely, the purpose of this training is to first of all, teach you the basics of chakra control which will improve your performance, jutsu chakra cost, and chakra levels. And to bring out the proper amount to the proper area, as I said before, this is the most important thing for a shinobi to learn. This can be difficult for even a skilled shinobi. The amount of chakra needed to climb a tree is small, but it must be exact and it is said that the bottom of the foot is the most difficult area to gather chakra since the lack of chakra points there. So basically...if you can master chakra control, all the jutsus in your arsenal may only take a drop for your chakra pools" Kakashi explained.

During the explanation, Natsumi couldn't help the smirk off her face. This technique will help her achieve your dreams of becoming hokage and beating all the hokage becoming the best.

"The second thing is for you to develop the stamina needed to control chakra properly and on your future missions since on many occasions, you may run hundreds of thousands of miles at a time without stopping. Depending on the jutsu, controlling your chakra properly can be difficult, and a shinobi usually gathering chakra during battle while constantly moving is difficult. These types of solutions make controlling chakra even more difficult. That's why from this tree climbing exercise, you can gain a grasp on chakra control and gain more stamina in the process. Well...me talking all day isn't going to accomplish anything. This is something you'll have to learn with your own bodies, not some explanation" Kakashi said while pulling out two kunai from his pocket.

Throwing the two kunai from his position, they landed in front of Sasuke and Natsumi's feet. "Use those kunai to mark your process, when you feel that your hold on the tree is weak. Slash the tree and jump back down," Kakashi said, Sasuke picked up and tightly wrapped his Konoha headband around his head.

"THIS TRAINING IS NOTHING TO ME! I could do it before lunch. 'CUZ I'M THE ONE THAT IMPROVED THE MOST!!" Natsumi said cockily while pointing towards Kakashi, letting her ego go wild.

"Why don't you stop your bragging, pick a tree and hurry up and try to climb it" Kakashi said while emphasizing the try much to Natsumi's taste.

"Ok...all I have to do is to focus chakra to my feet and climb the tree" Natsumi thought while focusing the chakra to her feet, it wasn't that hard since her chakra points are so extremely huge.
