Chapter Five: My Pride

Natsumi waited for around an hour until Mizuki arrived in the clearing. She was genuinely happy because all the time was wasted watching and listening to Kiba grumble about multiple people including herself and Naruto.

Moving faster than Kiba could see, Natsumi appeared behind him giving him a simple neck chop. This knocked the arrogant Inuzuka out, Mizuki genuinely looked surprised.

He could only see a blur, " What are you doing here, demon? " Mizuki said with venom. Natsumi didn't even flinch, all her life she was called a demon.

" Mizuki, you are under suspension of being a traitor, come quietly " Natsumi said in a nonsensical tone.

Mizuki started to actually laugh, " You a fresh out of the academy genin, think you can beat me, a chunin " Mizuki said, Natsumi didn't flinch at the jab to her rank.

" Do you know why the villagers hate you? " Mizuki said while grinning evilly, " Thirteen years ago, the nine tailed fox attacked Konohagakure. In the stories the Yondaime Hokage used a forbidden jutsu to kill the Kyūbi, however that was false. He actually sealed the Kyūbi into something, more specifically someone. That's right, the Kyūbi was sealed into you!! " Mizuki announced.

Natsumi's eyes widened at the information, all the memories of the villagers hating her and glaring at her come to his mind.

" N-No you're lying, " Natsumi said, while grabbing her head. She heard whispers ringing in her head. She accidentally hit the scroll while stepping back.

Mizuki smirked, seeing the chance to take the scroll and finally kill Natsumi. Mizuki unstrapped the demon wind shuriken on his back.

Channeling all his strength to his right arm, Mizuki threw the shuriken going at mid chunin speeds. At this point Natsumi was on her knees while tears were streaming from her eyes.

The demon wind shuriken was about to make contact with Natsumi, however moments before doing so the shuriken was cut completely in half.

The two pieces of the once shuriken flew away from Natsumi, this all happened within a second. After the shock wore down, standing in front of Natsumi was none other than Naruto.

" Natsumi…leave " Naruto said seriously, Natsumi slowly picked herself up and ran off into the forest. She had many questions, and hopefully hiding her presence and watching the two would answer a few.

Naruto didn't bother to look at the pitiful state of Mizuki, Naruto picked up the scroll of sealing and threw it to the side unknowingly under the tree Natsumi was hiding in.

" Ahh…if it isn't the demon's older brother " Mizuki said with venom, Naruto didn't even flinch at the comment.

" Tell me boy, I know damn well a weak chunin like you could easily be defeated by my sister. What did you say or do? " Naruto asked, still hadn't looked at Mizuki who had a face of outrage.

Naruto picks up Kiba and throws the boy to the side, receiving a grunt from the boy. " Do you know your sister is a demon? After all has the Kyūbi no Yōko sealed inside of her. That makes you a demon as well " Mizuki said with venom expecting the same outburst as Natsumi.

Naruto actually scoffed at this, " Don't you think I know that? I love my sister with all my heart, she's my pride. So I naturally want to know why the civilians of Konohagakure hate her. I have known about the Kyūbi sealed inside her since I was six years old. However, I hadn't changed my opinion about her. I will continue to protect her as my duties as an older brother, " Naruto said without hesitation.

Mizuki started to sweat, he needed a distraction to catch Naruto off guard. " You say you're a good older brother. However, you have yet to tell you sister about the beast sealed inside her " Mizuki said.

" Hm…I've wanted to tell her about Kyūbi since I was ten. However, the hokage never allowed me to tell her because of her immaturity, that's the same reason I haven't told her about our parents, " Naruto replied with the same confidence as before.

" I'll kill you…not as the duties of a shinobi of Konohagakure…but my duties as an elder brother… and because…, " Naruto said, however before he could finish, Naruto disappeared and reappeared next to Mizuki.

" ...You tried to kill my pride " Naruto finished his statement, suddenly Mizuki fell down, cut vertically in half from his right shoulder to his left waist.

Mizuki was killed instantaneously, Naruto sighed as blood landed on his face. Naruto sheathed his blade and pulled out a scroll from his pouch.

Naruto sealed Mizuki's dead body. His mind might hold valuable information about who he was working for.

After all no chunin could ever use any techniques stored in the scroll of sealing because they were only meant for high level jounin, anbu captain's, and kages.

Naruto picked up the scroll containing Muzuki's body, Naruto then approached the tree and strapped the scroll of sealing on his back and picked up Kiba over his shoulders.

Before the drop of blood on Naruto's face hit the ground, Naruto was already gone with the scroll of sealing and Kiba.

Behind the tree, Natsumi Uzumaki was there. She was holding her mouth from loudly crying. Tonight was a wreck of emotions, she learned why so many people hated her, she now knew that her older brother knew the reason why the villagers hated her and the identities of their parents.

However, she was most touched by the words her brother said. For so long her elder brother was protecting her from enemies she didn't even know she had.

But the thing she got from this experience, her older brother would be with her no matter what throughout life and death.

"I'm his pride, huh?" Natsumi said under her breath with a slime.
