Naming
after a few weeks Boun and Tawan was in their room and his mom and Dad came in,
"dear, how are you doing?"
"good mom"
"where are my babies?"
"sleeping"
"oh, have you guy fixed any names for them"
"not yet"
"you better be fast because we need to do a naming ceremony"
"yes mom"
"ok so.. I'll come later"
"ok mom"
Tawan and Boun started discussing the names for the babies. after hours of arguing and discussion they fixated on two names. they called Tawan's parents and told
"we have fixed the names"
"oh good we can do the ceremony ............ the day after tomorrow"
"ok"
it was the day of the ceremony. Tawan and Boun got up early, got ready and got the babies ready and went to the venue. at the venue there was Faih, Jom, Tawan's mom, Tawan's dad who was doing the ceremony and many villagers. Tawan's dad looked at the time and said
"it's time, Boun, Tawan come sit down here"
"yes father"
they sat down with each one of the babies in their arms. His dad then say to extend Tawan's arm and he placed Boun's Hand on top of it and then placed a flower and sprinkled some holy water on it and chanted a mantra. then he told them to drop the flower into the fire and then told them to whisper into the babies' ears the names, they both whispered the name and then His Dad said
"now announce the name"
"Pear Whichapak and Payu Whichapak"
everybody started to clap and cheer. after the ceremony ended Tawan's mom came up to Boun and Tawan and said
"pretty good Names"
"thankyou"
"now it is your responsibility to look after Pear, Payu and Boun"
"yes mom"
"that's my son"
she hugged him
"by the way mom we are planning to leave the tonight to register their names because has been a lot of time since they were born"
"oh ok I'll talk to your dad"
"thanks mom"
in the night they were ready to leave. they gave Tawan's parent a big hug and said goodbye and parted ways.
