49. Jealousy

~Madilyn's pov~

When I get to school I head over to my locker a familiar wave of content hitting me at thought of it being mine.

"Hey" Ryan says out of nowhere taping my shoulder scaring the crap out of me.

"What the" I shriek clutching my chest to clam my thumping heart.

"Woah there, I didn't mean to scare you...I'm sorry" He says genuinely.

"oh it's okay " I say giving him small smile.

"It's been quite awhile since we last spoke... everything's just been so hectic this past week" he says putting his hands in his pockets and flashing me a charming smile.

"Yeah" I say chuckling nervously.
'I've swapped bodies, pretended to be someone else and had to deal with everything else too so I'd call that pretty hectic myself '.

"I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me this weekend...if you're free" he says all of a sudden shocking me.

"I-yeah s-sure" I stutter out still in a bit of a shock my heart beat increasing when he smiles in delight causing me to smile back nervously.

"Great" he says flashing me one more smile before leaves.

'I guess I'm going on my first official date this weekend...well first if you don't count the time Zack went on a date with him in my body and we ended up ditching Ryan, that night Zack and I had so much fun and he won me the huge panda teddy'.

I smile at the memory.
I will never admit it to him but I actually really like the teddy, so much that I sleep next to it at night.

I shake my head in disapproval and my smile fades, Here I go again thinking about Zack when my focus should be on Ryan.

I have to remind myself that the only reason Zack and I ever got to know each other is because we swapped bodies and if it weren't for that he'd still be humiliating me right now.

"Hey Chica let's go we gonna be late for class" Lexi says wrapping an arm around my shoulder shaping me out of my thoughts.

"Chica?" I say confused.

"Yeah...its Spanish" she says smiling brightly subconsciously looking over in Max's direction with dreamy eyes making me smile knowingly.

"Daydreaming of kissing him again " I whisper smugly into her ear smirking as I do making her head snap to me in shock with a blush covering her cheeks.

"What?!...N-no... again?... what makes you say that?"she says flushed.

"I saw you guys sucking face's at the park last time" I say smugly making her cover her blushing cheeks with her hands.

"Oh my...how long have you know?...Why didn't you say anything sooner?" she mumbles out through her hands.

"I was waiting for you to tell me you liked him on your own even if it was painfully obvious" I say making her look at me with a guilty expression.

"I was going to tell you but I didn't know how to...and I didn't want you to be disappointed that I like the guy whose friend is a dick to you" she says looking worriedly at me, waiting for my judgement which is unnecessary because I would support her even if she liked the fly that flew into my face the other day.

"I'm not disappointed...I think you guys make a cute couple ,I shipped it" I say smiling genuinely while bumping shoulders with her making her laugh out in relief.

Max walks past us on his way to class too and gives Lexi a wink making her blush and me cheer silently beside her.

"I want details on how all of this happened" I say smirking at her like a creepy old lady that loves gossip and she rolls her eyes smiling at me but nods nonetheless.

As Lexi and I make our way to our class, I catch Zack's gaze making eye contact for a few seconds before Tiffany wraps her arms around his neck in an embrace making him break eye contact to look down at her, I can't see his expression from where I'm standing but I don't like what's happening over there one bit.

I unconsciously clench my jaw at the thought of her filthy arms around his neck but stop myself when I realise I'm beginning to sound jealous...

'I can't be' I deny

'it's Zack for goodness sake...how can I be jealous?'

'think about Ryan' I scowled myself.

'I can't keep thinking of Zack and I definitely can't be jealous of that bloody rat (Tiffany) for hugging him when I'm gonna be going on a date with Ryan this weekend...besides Zack and I aren't any thing so I have no right to be jealous' I remind myself.

I guess this is just how it's supposed to be...his the handsome popular guy who dates the pretty popular girl and I'm just the weird nerdy girl who doesn't fit into that picture.

"I want details" Lexi says snapping me once again out of my daze looking in the direction of Zack making me pale because I honestly forgot she was still next to me.

looks like this is going to be a long day.
