🎶 Schoolboy Q - The purge 🎶
I watched intently as the sound of a smaller exhaust came up behind the roaring skyline and skidding to a stop on the gravel. It was driving with a strange urgency.
I frowned, recognising it as the off-white Honda civic that belonged to Regan. Her door opened with a panic as she gripped the top of it and shrieked in my direction.
"KAI! RUN!"
Eh?
I jerked my head back and stepped forward onto the road with worry. Ryo frowned and turned to look too, Otis straightening himself at the same time.
The rumbling skyline door opened, the engine still running and a tall blonde stepping out. He was slightly a bigger build than me, and walked with a dangerous demeanour. His hair was messy, but it still somehow managed to look good. His face however, looked pissed. It was the meanest frown Id seen on anybody, and I'd experienced the wrath of my father after accidentally scratching the paint on his RX-7 when I was a kid.
I watched confused as he made his way around the car and started pacing my way, spitting on the concrete.
"HADES, STOP!" Regan yelled, slamming her door shut and sprinting for her life across the road.
So this is Hades. Well whatever bullshit he's got going on, he should've left it at home.
Angel and Kita started making their way over, curious at all of the yelling.
I clenched my teeth and made my way to him, hoping to meet him half way. To the left of me was a crowd of people watching with fear. Angel was slowly making her way over, her face littered with confusion.
He was much scarier up close, I had to admit. I could feel the fumes coming off of his body as we got closer.
"Look I don't know what your deal is, bro, but-" I started, before I was interrupted by a hefty punch to the jaw.
I fell to the ground, my hand grazing against the stones on the road. I frowned at the rocks as blood dripped from my mouth, seeping into the cracks in the old tar.
"What the fuck-" Otis yelled, hearing him drop his drink on the ground and run to my aid.
"Kai!" Kita yelled.
And with the flick of a switch, the reasonable me was gone.
I looked up at his tall figure and pushed myself up, wrapping my arms around his body and tackling him onto the hard ground. All I could see was red, who is this guy and what does he want with me?!
Otis paused and watched, realising I was okay.
I reeled my fist back and sent an anger fuelled punch to his chin, again and again. Blood spat from his mouth as my knuckles connected with his jaw.
On the third punch he caught my fist and gave me a decent blow to the side of my head, pushing me off and scrambling to his feet.
I turned my body and saw his foot heading straight for my eyes. This kid had no mercy.
Ah, fuck.
