CHAPTER FOUR

She woke up late feeling quite out of the ordinary. It has been a week now since her nana decided to leave her with the obnoxious man. So far they've been busy biting each others head off.

She just don't know why whenever she saw him, it literally made her blood boil! They didn't even have a decent hour of conversation without fighting.

She sighed. She haven't slept well the other night.

First and foremost, her mind kept on straying to the man situated in her room and it won't let her rest peacefully. Secondly, she still has questions she forgot to ask him that troubled her mind. And last but not the least, she's not comfortable sleeping in her nana's room. Plus, her monthly feminine visit picked that freaking time to start flowing. Ugh!

She's grouchy and cranky today beyond doubt.

Finishing her toilette and wearing her normal day clothes -- a fuchsia pink colored cotton dress with long sleeves and round neckline-then pinning her hair up with a ribbon, she trudged to the kitchen with a sour mood. She still needed to prepare their breakfast for today.

She entered the kitchen and froze. Because right there in front of her was a carefully prepared meal laid out on the table.

"Sorry I messed up with your kitchen. I was hungry you see." An apologetic voice behind her spoke.

"You knew how to cook." She said a-matter-of-factly while slowly pivoting to gape at him.

Scrunching his brows, he said, "But of course! Any problem? I usually cook at home."

"Indeed." She said not quite believing him.

He laughed at that. I mean really really laughed. A full throated laugh that shook his muscled shoulder.

Oh boy, that arm ought to hurt after..she thought.

She saw him flinched after that extreme lung exercise.

Told you..she grinned inwardly.

"I do. Am I that so pompous to you that it made you think I don't do mundane chores?" He asked quizzically with one lifted brow and a lopsided grin hovering on his kissable mouth. Indeed, her full attention was caught by that said well sculpted lips so she didn't hear a thing or two of what he'd said.

He cleared his throat loudly.

Immediately her gaze bounced to his smirking eyes.

She was caught looking! Dammit! Don't blush for God's sake!

"I, uh, what was that again?" She blurted out.

"Oh nothing. It's not that important anyway. Come, let's eat." He ushered and helped her into a chair then sat down languidly on the seat in front of her.

"As I was strolling around the house a few minutes ago while I was waiting for you to wake up, I saw a training area at the back. Who's using it by the way, If you don't mind my asking, that is." He conversed on a casual tone.

"I am using it, if you must know." She said looking deadly serious at him. I'll throttle him to death if he will laugh! She added as an afterthought.

"I thought as well since your nana wouldn't be so particular with bows and swords." He replied blandly before sipping his cider.

Staring at him through arched brow, she said, "If you want to fish out permission to use it sir, you have it. No need to make indirect comments about it."

He looked up from his food and smiled. She hitched her breath. Damn!

"That's generous of you, Princess. And very clever to have found out my intention that easy."
