Noah's POV:
I watch as Izebel gets up and leaves.
I can tell she still doesn't trust me. I can't blame her. None of this feels like it's happening.
(A few hours later)
"Boss?" I look up and see one of my men with my phone in his hand.
"Who is it?" I ask, taking the phone from him.
"Ivan."
"Get Blake." I growl. I pick up the phone and immediately hear screaming.
"Ivan what the hell..."
"She's gone." He says quickly. "We're being attacked..."
"Ivan I need you to breathe." I snap into the phone. My heart is beating fast.
"The lights went out and then they turned back on but...she's gone. We can't find her."
"I'm coming." I say gruffly. "Find her and get the hell out of there."
"What's going on?" Blake asks, walking inside. "Noah..."
"Someone knows about Izebel." I yell, slamming my phone onto my desk. "She's missing. I want everyone surrounding the mall now."
Izebel POV:
Memories flood my mind as I run. Terrorizing me.
"PULL THE TRIGER OR YOU GET THE BULLET!"
"FINISH HIM!"
The smell of blood. The smell of death. It was choking me.
I needed to focus. I had to focus if I wanted to get out of this alive. Whatever this was. He said I was special...
He wasn't bluffing...was he?
Eventually I reach the end of the mall, where the lights are back on. Police are everywhere with injured people all I can hear are sirens.
"Miss are you alright?" A doctor says coming to me and wrapping her arm around my shoulders.
"Get off me." I growl, moving from her grasp. She looks at me surprised and then moves away.
I don't know what to do. My brothers...what if the attack is revolves around them. It would make sense.
And if it was... I couldn't go back to them. Not if it meant risking my already tragic life.
"Miss Katz?" I turned around and saw a police officer standing in front of me. "Is that correct?" He asks.
"Yes." I whisper meekly. I hate myself for it. For aching to have a home to go back to. For thinking I'll feel safer there. I hate it.
"Izebel!" I turn again and see all three of my brothers sprinting towards me.
Lex gets to me first wrapping me in a hug. He whispers something I can't quite hear and then strokes my hair.
For a second I want to move away from him. Push him and run. But I don't. I let myself go numb. I let him hug me.
"You're bleeding." Ace says harshly, pulling me away from Lex.
"Where are you bleeding?" Ivan asks, moving to check my stomach.
"It's not my blood." I manage. It's only now I realize I have the boys blood on my hands. How far did I stab him?
"What do you mean?" Ace snaps, clearly not believing me.
"I had to defend myself." I whisper. "I had to." I know I'm trying to convince myself more than them.
