I've locked myself in my room ever since I got home from school.

I can't go back. I can't.

The torture. The killing. The blood.

I feel nauseous and suddenly run into my bathroom, puking into my toilet.

I want to cry and I want to sob.

But then I remember the path I made. I'd never let my foster parents be the cause of my tears again. And there's no chance in hell I'd be giving them the satisfaction of seeing me again.

I could count on my brothers to do everything themselves, but at the end of the day no one knew what were being led into, but me.

I quickly washed my face, rinsed my mouth out with water and walked downstairs for dinner.

"Ah, the sleeping beauty is awake." Ace chuckled as I sat down beside him. I didn't say anything just took a long sip of water.

"Everything ok, Izzi?" Lex asked, as he and Ivan came in and sat down.

"Yeah I'm fine." I fake smiled. Noah and Blake entered last. Clearly concerned about something.

"Let's eat." Noah mumbled.

For the most part everyone ate in silence. Until there was a loud commotion outside. Here goes nothing.

"Sir!" A guard said running into the kitchen. "Ryland LaRue is here. He has no backup. No men. He's unarmed."

"Izebel go to your room." Noah ordered, getting out of his chair.

"No." I whispered. Everyone stared at me in shock. "I...I invited him here."

"What?" Everyone asks at the same time.

"I'll explain later just-"

"No you will tell us what the hell you're talking about right now!" Blake snapped.

Before anyone could say or do anything else I quickly got up from my seat, ducked past the guard and ran outside to see Ryland on his knees. Guns pointed at his head.

"Don't shoot!" I snapped, putting my body in front of him.

"Princess, don't be dull." Ryland hisses.

"IZEBEL!" Noah shouts coming outside. His gun is pointed towards us. "Izebel, move. Now."

"Noah, please. I have something to tell you." I whisper. He stares at me for a second and then drops his gun, signaling for his guards to do the same.

"What the hell?" Blake growls.

"If she has something to say, she deserves for me to listen." Noah says. "And I will, as you long as you move away from him, Izebel."

"And you won't shoot?"

"I will not shoot him while you talk. And neither will anyone else." Noah nods.

Hesitantly I move away and go towards Noah. He gives me a relieved look and kneels down to my height.

"Go ahead." He whispers. "You can tell me anything."

"I wasn't completely honest about my foster parents." I whisper. He rubs my hand, urging me to go on. "They did everything I said...but they also did more. I...they... at first they just taught me how to fight. And then they started making me use weapons. And then...then they brought people into the basement. And forced me to...to kill them."

Noah's eyes looked shocked.

"And I did it." I say, my voice almost breaking. "Almost every time."

"They claimed they were scientists and that they could make me stronger. So they...they would preform what they called experiments. But really, they just knocked me out and cut my body open to do...I don't know what."

I took a deep breath.

"When Ryland's father hit our car that day, he was going to sell me back to the Russians. They want me. And at first I didn't know why. Ryland...he took me to France so his father couldn't sell me to the Russians." I turn to face Ryland.

"Which was still a dick move." He just chuckled and smirks.

"And we found out forty nine more girls were kidnapped when I was. In these last couple months they've all been found. And slowly they've been disappearing again."

"It's the Russians, Noah. They taught all of us...how to kill. And now they want to use us to become the strongest mafia in the world."

Noah stands up and immediately wraps his arms around me, stroking my hair.

"Ryland is going to help us. He gave me his word." I whisper.

When Noah pulls away he starts barking orders. "Guards tie him up and bring him inside, but do not harm him."

He looks back at me. "We'll all talk, but for now I need to talk to Ryland alone, ok?" He whispers. I nod.

"Ivan. Ace. Take Izzi upstairs please."

I want to argue that I can very much escort myself, but I don't and follow them inside.

We don't say a word until we get to my room and I collapse onto my bed.

"I'm sorry you couldn't tell us." Ivan whispers. I look at him confused. "We should've made you feel more comfortable."

I smile at him. "You don't have to apologize."

"You we're the quite the lady out there." Ace chuckled, flopping onto my bed. "Stepping in front of guns, making Noah listen to you, hell you even got Ryland LaRue practically kneeling for you."

I just laugh and snuggle into my pillows.

Ryland POV:

I watch as Izebel slowly walks to her brother. I listen as she starts talking about her foster parents.

That's why she had a panic attack in France. I'm such an idiot.

Eventually, she disappears inside and im hoisted up and tied and led into the Katz house.

"We can talk in my office." Noah growls. I hesitantly walk inside and awkwardly sit in a chair.

"Is everything Izebel said true?" He asks me.

"Yes." I nod. "Unfortunately."

"This doesn't excuse you for kidnapping her." Noah snaps. I sigh.

"I know. And I...I'm sorry." I sigh. He looks at me surprised. "I acted like my father. It was..."

"Ryland, you may be a dick but from what Izebel has told me...you're nothing like your father." I stare at him surprised. No one has ever said that to me before.

"Is everything she told me..."Noah asks clearing his throat. "True?"

"From the information I've gathered, yes." I sigh. "The Russians are smart. I've underestimated them, and so has my father. Hell, he almost led to our destruction."

"So where do I go from here?" Noah sighed, holding his head.

"You form an alliance with me." I said, straightening myself.

"Excuse me?" Noah chuckled. "My sister may trust you, but Izebel is..."

"As far as I've seen Izebel is no fool." I shrugged. "She's more than capable of taking care of her problems on her own. After all, I'm under her control...aren't I?"

Noah just rolled his eyes and thought for a moment. "You put my sister in danger, and for that, I will never forgive you. But, since you saved her life I'll grant you a droplet of my mercy. You may leave here unscathed, but I want you nowhere near me or my family, and yes that includes Izebel."

"Izebel and I made a deal..."

"I am Izebel's guardian. That means I am tasked with the responsibility of protecting her. I don't care what she did and didn't discuss with you. You will never speak or see her again. Do I make myself clear?"

"Crystal."
