"You're a fucking liar!" I shriek, getting off my bed.
"Calm down." Elsah groans, sliding off my bed. "Your brothers are going to figure out im here."
"No." I say, shaking my head. "They're rich. They're not...mafia...No you're lying!"
"Why would I lie?" Elsah asks, taking out a piece of gum. "Lying is for cowards." I stare at her in shock. None of this feels real.
"Think about it, Iz. You have an armory in your basement. With guns. Lots of guns. And your brothers...are filthy rich."
"They own a lot of businesses." I counter. "Like what?" Elsah, asks. Raising her eyebrow. I open my mouth and quickly close it. She's right.
"My brother.... he shot someone yesterday." I whisper, clutching onto my arms. "He killed him."
Elsah sits there, not saying anything, just thinking. "I think you should get the hell out of here." She whispers finally.
Truthfully it seems like the most logical option. But then again, I'm not one to think things through.
"No." I snap. "I'm going to make their lives hell first. And then I'll rip their hearts out."
"And how exactly are you going to do that?" Elsah asks.
"They've been waiting for a little sister. The one they so tragically lost. And all I have to do is pretend to be her."
"You are her." Elsah mumbles.
"Not really. I'm not the same girl they used to know." I murmur. "I've changed and they have no idea what I'm capable of. They think I'm some weak idiot."
"So you make them fall in love with you?" Elsah asks. I turn to her, giving her a disgusted face. "I mean in a brotherly way." She says, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah. And then... I'll just disappear...or fake my own death."
Elsah grins. "That's way cooler."
"And I want to talk to this Ryland LaRue." At this she stared at me surprised. "That's a terrible idea." She mumbles.
"No, he said I was special and that someone wanted me. Don't you think I should figure out who the hell it is?"
"Maybe." She whispers. "But I want in."
"If my brothers are in the mafia there's a good chance he has something to do with it."
"Ok." She shrugs. "That's why you need me. You're helpless on your own."
"Don't underestimate me." I snap, crossing my arms. Elsah laughs, falling back onto my bed.
"You're adorable." She smirks. "But that doesn't make you any less helpless."
"I can shoot a gun." I blurt. She looks at me surprised. "That's not so adorable, is it?"
"I won't believe it till I see it." She smirks. "Tomorrow night come sneak out with me."
"Can't. There's some ball thing my brother is dragging me to."
"Did you say a ball?" Elsah asked, practically jumping out of my bed. I nod. "I bet it's a mafia ball." She whispers.
"A what?" I ask. She groans. "Iz, have you never read anything? Mafias are known for their balls. Everyone comes. It's huge."
"So you think Ryland will be there?" I ask. She shrugs.
"It's the only way to tell if he's in the mafia or not." She shrugs.
"And then what?" I ask.
"Corner or him or some shit." She shrugs.
"That's stupid." I mumble. "My brothers are going to be watching me like hawks."
