IZEBEL POV:
I wake up on a plane and immediately clutch the arm of my plane seat.
"You ok?" Lex asks softly. I turn to my left and see him watching me concerned with a magazine about puppies in his hand.
"Yeah." I mumble.
"Are you hungry?" Lex asks. I nod and he hands me a plate full of food. "I had the chef make it." He smiles.
"There's a kitchen on this plane?" I chuckle, taking it from him.
"Of course there is." He smiles. "We'll be landing in an hour so take your time." Then he turns back to his magazine.
I smile to myself and then stare at the food. There's a lot. But I'm starving.
I start eating food I didn't even know existed. Who knew food could taste this good?
The rest of the plane ride Blake drills me on what happened with Ryland from start to finish. No part of me wants to lie to him, but I do it anyways.
Eventually Lex convinced him to stop sense Noah will probably ask the same exact questions as soon as we land.
As the plane landed Lex let me hold onto his arm. I'm pretty sure I cut off his blood circulation the entire time.
"You ready?" Blake asks me. I nod and follow him out the door, Lex trailing behind me. The moment I step outside and my feet hit by the ground arms wrap around me again.
"I'm so glad you're ok." A gruff voice comes. I immediately realize it's Ivan.
When he pulls away, he looks me over. "I'm fine." I laugh. "Promise."
A small smile forms on his lips and he softly kisses the top of my head.
"Izebel." I look past his shoulder and see Noah and Ace.
"You're ok?" I ask. My voice comes out shaky. Noah smiles and hugs me. "Im perfectly fine." He whispers.
"Good." I smirk as we pull away.
"I owe you an apology." Ace says out of nowhere. "I've been..."
"An ass." Ivan and Blake say at the same time.
"Yeah." Ace sighs. "And im not proud of it. When you were taken... I took it really hard. And I think I wanted to protect myself from getting hurt again...I"
"Consider yourself forgiven." I smile. He looks at me surprised. "I wasn't exactly the nicest to you either." I shrug.
He chuckled and then smiles, giving me a tight hug. "It's good to have you back."
"Can we go home?" I ask. "I'm exhausted."
"Of course." Noah nods. He turns to the guards. "I want all of you in front and behind us." He orders. The guards nod and immediately hop into cars.
Blake opens the door for me and I climb inside.
Apparently Noah convinced Lex, Ace, and Ivan to sit in the back so I can have the entire middle row to myself.
Normally I'd feel fine with all of the space, but now I feel isolated and vulnerable.
"Everything ok?" Noah asks snapping me out of my trance.
"Fine." I nod, staring back out the window.
The car ride is mostly silent, but I spot Noah and Blake continuously turning around to make sure I'm still alive or something.
When we reach the mansion I get out of the car as quickly as I can and try to run inside.
"Izebel!" Noah yells, following after me. "No running, please. Not until you're fully healed."
"Ok." I sigh, desperately wanting to collapse onto my bed.
"Promise me?" He asks.
"Promise." I nod.
"Go get some rest. If you need absolutely anything I'll be in my office, okay?" He asks softly.
I nod and he kisses my forehead and then lets me go inside.
Ivan insist on helping me up the stairs and into my room.
I quickly change out of my clothes and let myself collapse onto my gigantic bed.
"Hey." Ivan says, emerging from his spot on my chair. "I know your phone got destroyed, but someone still wanted to say hi to you." He smiles, handing me his phone.
"BITCH!" Elsah shrieks on FaceTime as soon as the phone is handed to me.
"Oh my gosh!" I smile. "Wait...you're still in the hospital?"
Her smile shrinks a little bit, but then returns. "Idiotic doctors." She shrugs. "I should be coming home soon though. But you... you're ok?" She ask.
"Yeah I'm fine. He didn't...he didn't really hurt me." I shrug.
"I'm still going to bury him alive." Elsah smirks. "I missed you though."
"Wait...are you the one that hacked into his system?" I asked. She nodded.
"She's the one who found your location in the first place." Ivan says.
"What?" I ask, a small tear in my eye. I've never had friends. Ever. And this...holy shit.
"Don't get sappy on me, Iz." Elsah groans. "You'd do the same exact thing for me."
"Who are you talking to?" A voice comes. Suddenly Vivi's face is on the screen and she's practically glowing.
"Izzi!" She gushes. "Hi! Are you feeling any better?"
"Yeah." I smile.
"Aw good. I'm so glad." She smiles. Then she gives me a tiny wave and hands Elsah a cup of coffee.
"Sorry to interrupt, but if Noah finds out you're not sleeping he might murder me." Ivan sighs.
Elsah sticks her tongue out at him before we say goodbye and hang up.
"Thanks." I smile. "I...it means a lot."
"You don't have to thank me, Iz." He says softly. "Get some rest. I'll bring you up some food later."
I nod and tuck myself into my covers and Ivan flips my lights off.
Sorry this chapter is so short I just wanted to update sense I haven't been very often.
have the best day :)
