It had been several months since the accident occurred, and Taehyung had slipped into a coma. Despite Jimin's insistence on taking care of Taehyung, Jin had chosen to do so himself. Jin attended to all of Taehyung's needs, ensuring that he was well taken care of. He would clean and look after Taehyung, even sleeping by his side after returning from work. Jin made it a point to ensure that the nurses had nothing left to do.

He remembered a time when Taehyung had confided in him about his fears, one of which was the fear of burdening others. Despite his father's disapproval of Jin taking care of his son, Jin never backed down. As a result, his father eventually stopped visiting altogether out of frustration.

Religion had never been a part of Jin's life; he had always considered himself an atheist. Neither his parents nor anyone else had ever forced it upon him. However, now he found himself praying, visiting the church in hopes of Taehyung waking up soon. Sometimes, he would spend hours in prayer.

Jin entered Taehyung's hospital room. It had been a rough day at work, and ever since the accident, he had become a mere shell of himself. He had stopped talking to everyone, and though Jimin made efforts to converse with him, Jin lacked the energy to reciprocate.

"Love, I'm home," Jin announced upon entering the room. He never stopped talking to Taehyung, believing that he could hear him and wanting to ensure that Taehyung never felt alone. Taehyung had always been the talkative one in their relationship; he never stayed quiet. Jin made his way over to the sofa and took a seat.

"I had a difficult day at work," he confided in Taehyung, a habit he had formed. Sharing the details of his day with Taehyung. "Nothing seems to be going my way, and I miss you terribly. Why won't you wake up? I pray every day for your recovery, hoping that everything will fall back into place. What can I do to make you healthy again? I used to rely on you, and now I feel lost." Jin moved closer to Taehyung, allowing himself to cry, something he had never done in front of his unconscious ex-husband before. He had always wanted to appear strong, but today, he felt overwhelmingly vulnerable.

"When will I have the chance to hear you speak again, my love? Please wake up, baby. I deeply regret everything now that you're fighting for your life here. If only I could have embraced you and expressed my love for you when you were alive," he lays his head on Taehyung's chest.

He hears a faint sound, but he fails to realize that it's coming from Taehyung. "I don't know if I can bear another day of you remaining unconscious. It breaks my heart," he says with a heavy sigh.

Once again, he hears a grunt, and this time, he realizes that Taehyung is finally responding. In a rush, Jin grabs a water bottle and gently places it against Taehyung's lips. "Here, have some water," he says while simultaneously pressing the button to call for a nurse.

"I am incredibly happy that you're awake, and I'm so grateful," Jin looks at Taehyung, still in disbelief. His heart fills with joy as Taehyung nods in response. "It took you so long, my love," Jin mumbles, gently brushing Taehyung's hair away from his forehead.

Just then, the nurse enters the room. "Can you please call the doctor? Taehyung woke up just now," Jin requests the nurse.

"Of course, I will inform him," she replies with a smile.

Taehyung speaks slowly, struggling to form the words clearly, "Jin... alive," he says, smiling. Only then does Jin realize that Taehyung had sacrificed his life to save him, and this would have been his only wish - to see him alive. Tears stream down Taehyung's face as he observes Jin, feeling a sense of relief that he is alive.

"I'm going to hug you," Jin says, his head hung low for reasons he can't fully comprehend. He gazes at Taehyung's face, which has a sad smile, and his own face brightens as well. Jin then leans in to embrace him, whispering, "I missed you. I'm so happy that you're awake. Please never leave me again." He cries in Taehyung's arms. Taehyung weakly nods in reply.

As the doctor and Jimin, who happens to be visiting him today, enter the room. The doctor informs Jin to step back for a moment so he can perform a checkup. After taking Jin's blood sample, the doctor assures them that they will conduct further tests tomorrow.

"You seem to be doing well. We will run all the necessary tests tomorrow, and hopefully, there won't be any issues. You can start eating now, but take it slowly. Your stomach has shrunk due to relying on fluids, so it's better to gradually reintroduce solid food. It will take time for you to fully recover, and you will also need physiotherapy. We will discuss all the details tomorrow. For now, have a good night and rest well."

Jin stays behind to listen to the doctor, but once he leaves, he goes out to get Taehyung something to drink. Jimin, holding Taehyung's hands, exclaims, "You're finally awake!"

Despite being in a coma for a long time, Taehyung still feels refreshed, thankfully.

"That crazy ex-husband of yours took excellent care of you. Look at your nails. Your hair is neatly trimmed, and I think he even took care of your skincare. I'm not sure, but I bet he did. I'm sure you don't have any pubic hair either. He did everything he possibly could," Jimin laughs, causing Taehyung to frown at his comment, "I hope you two can work things out now. Your love for each other is truly something special."

" Namjoon and I are now engaged," He proudly shows the ring on his finger to Taehyung, expressing his desire to have him by his side for the wedding, and finally, that wish has come true.

"You really scared us, Taetae," he says, trying to hold back tears but failing as happiness overwhelms him.

Unable to form the words to express his emotions, Taehyung simply nods and smiles warmly, tightly holding Jimin's hand.

"I hope you're not in any pain. Are you feeling okay?" Taehyung nods once more.

"Seokjin took such great care of you, and I believe that's why you fought the illness so bravely. He read to you every day, groomed you, played your favorite music, and talked to you for hours. The two of you have set such high standards for everyone around you."

Taehyung's smile remains unwavering, though he wishes he had the energy to smile more.

Just then, Jin enters with a small box of ox bone soup. He opens the lid, and Jimin helps Taehyung sit up. "I cooked this and had to reheat it. I know it's not your favorite, but it's good for you," Jin says, spooning a small amount into Taehyung's mouth.

Taehyung had no opportunity to express his lack of appetite at the moment. While being fed, he observed Jin's puffy eyes, probably from crying. After a few bites, he paused and suggested, "Let's have a full meal tomorrow and maybe some meat in a week."

It took two weeks for Taehyung to begin forming sentences, with Jin faithfully by his side. Upon checking, Taehyung found out he actually did not have any pubic hair. It made him laugh at alot.

Taehyung's test results were normal, and he did not need an extended period of physiotherapy. He was discharged shortly after and took his time readjusting at home. Jin moved in to care for him, even sleeping on the couch for added caution.

One evening, after Jin returned home and they finished their meal, he settled onto the couch to sleep. Taehyung approached him and gazed at Seokjin, finally uttering, "Sleep with me in bed." Jin looked up in surprise and asked, "Are you sure?" Taehyung confidently replied, "Yes, I believe I will wake up feeling much better."

Jin, feeling drowsy, quickly fell asleep in Taehyung's embrace, while the latter spent the entire night admiring Jin's face.
