It's finally the last week of this year's college classes, and to top it off today's Monday...the beginning of the roughest week. Exams all week which means less sleep for me so I can pass them.
Tuesday...
Math exam, the one I've been dreading but thankfully Jeffrey stayed up late with me to study. I'm glad he's smart.
Wednesday...
Advanced Anatomy exam, this one will be a breeze.
Thursday...
Advanced Anatomy second exam.
Friday...
Last exam, the difference with this exam is it's not on paper but physical, in order to pass this exam I'll have to do a test surgery in order to show the professor how well each of us has been paying attention. The shitty part is, it's going to take all day to do this. Lucky for me, our professor decided to go by the students with high passing grades to go first and I'm lucky number six. By 11am the fourth student went inside the class room.
Jeffrey:"Hey."
He smiled as he sat next to me so I smiled back.
Me:"What are you doing here?"
Jeffrey:"Figured you'd need a good luck charm."
Me:"Gee thanks."Jeffrey laughed,
Jeffrey:"No seriously I just came to support you. You know your going to pass I know you will babe."
Me:"Thank you, that means a lot."
Jeffrey:"I'm glad, is this your last exam?"
Me:"It is, when it's my turn I won't be out for an hour."
Jeffrey:"I can wait, I have nothing better to do anyway besides that I wanted to see if you would like to go grab lunch after your done?"
Me:"I would love that."
Jeffrey:"Great, then we can head to your place so I can help you finish packing for the trip."
Me:"Shit! I forgot about that, I've been so busy this week it slipped my mind. I didn't even tell my parents about the trip."
Jeffrey:"Relax babe, your an adult why do you need to tell them?"
Me:"For starters in case something happens so if my parents know about the trip at least someone would come looking for us."
Jeffrey:"Kayleigh, baby-"He paused to laugh then pulled me into his side,
Jeffrey:"It's adorable how you wig out but we'll be perfectly fine. And if anything happens I'll protect you, I promise so don't even think about the trip you should focus for your exam."
Me:"Easier said then done since you reminded me about it."
Jeffrey:"Look I'm sorry Kayleigh, would you like for me to give you time to yourself?"I smiled softly,
Me:"No I'm sorry I shouldn't act that way about going to another state. And stay, with you here I can still prepare myself."
Jeffrey:"Good, so what would you like for lunch?"
Me:"Chinese?"
Jeffrey:"Sounds perfect, I haven't had that in awhile."I chuckled but stopped since the classroom door opened,
Professor:"Alright Kayleigh, your up."
Jeffrey:"Good luck babe."We smiled and Jeffrey gave me a quick kiss before I stood up to head into the room.
An hour later..
I smiled at the professor,
Professor:"See you next year Kayleigh."
Me:"Thank you, bye!"I hurried to the door then pulled it open to step out, Jeffrey stood up with a raised eyebrow.
Jeffrey:"So?"
Me:"I passed!"
Jeffrey:"What! That's fantastic babe I'm proud of you."
Me:"Thank you for believing in me."
Jeffrey:"I always will."
Me:"So about lunch?"
Jeffrey:"Of course, are we calling the others to join us or will it be just you and I?"
Me:"Whichever you prefer."
Jeffrey:"Ladies choice."
Me:"I can't stand you sometimes."-I laughed-
Jeffrey:"Well if you can't stand me then sit down?"
Me:"Jerk."Jeffrey laughed then grabbed my hand to walk us down the hall,
Jeffrey:"Seriously babe whichever one you choose I'm fine with."
Me:"I guess I'll give them a call on the way."
Jeffrey:"Alright babe."Once Jeffrey and I arrived at The Wok we got out of the car heading inside hand in hand.
Kate:"Over here guys!"
We spotted them to our left and made our way to the table, after I sat down Kate smiled.
Kate:"I'm glad your coming with us Kayleigh."
Me:"Me too, you guys are right I need a break."
Josh:"Definitely so how was your final exam?"
Me:"I passed with flying colors."
Jake:"No way that's awesome Kayleigh."
Me:"It is, if I failed then all that hard work would have been for nothing."
Jeffrey:"That's where your wrong babe, if you failed then you would have to work twice as hard the next time."
Me:"Yea that's true."
Jake:"The waiter should be back we didn't order yet since we told them we was waiting for two more people."
Me:"You guys could have ordered."
Kate:"Nope we waited, did you finish packing?"
Me:"No I've been busy studying so Jeffrey offered to help after lunch."
Jake:"No rush, we're not heading out til 8 tonight so you'll have plenty of time."
Me:"Your really driving all the way there?"
Jake:"Well yea, all of us drive so we can switch."
Me:"Alright."After being here for almost two hours we decided to head out, on the way to my house Jeffrey stopped at his to grab his bags. When he got back in the car he looked at me,
Jeffrey:"Not having second thoughts are you?"
Me:"No I'm not."
Jeffrey:"Good your going to have fun babe."I smiled and grabbed his hand as he pulled out of his driveway.
Jeffrey:"When are you telling your parents?"
Me:"When I get home they should be there waiting."
Jeffrey:"They still don't like me huh?"
Me:"They do, just didn't like how we've started dating but now they're okay with it."
Jeffrey:"Really?"
Me:"Yes."I heard him lowly sigh as he pulled into my driveway, my parents car was parked next to mine. Jeffrey and I got out walking inside the house,
Me:"Hey."
Mom:"Hey sweetheart, hi Jeffrey."
Jeffrey:"Mr and Mrs.Williams how are you?"
Dad:"We're good, Kayleigh how was the cardiovascular exam?"
Me:"I passed."
Dad:"Really? That's great sweetheart."
Me:"Yea it is, the guys decided to take a road trip to Wyoming to help me take a break from studying."
Mom:"Wyoming? That's far."
Dad:"When is the trip?"
Me:"About that, we leave tonight."
Dad:"Why didn't you tell us about the trip?"
Me:"I got into studying and forgot til Jeffrey mentioned it earlier."
Mom:"Jeffrey your going right?"
Jeffrey:"Yes ma'am I am."
Dad:"You better keep an eye on her."
Jeffrey:"I will I promise."
Dad:"I want you to stay in contact with us, understand?"
Me:"Understood dad."
Dad:"How long will you be gone?"
Me:"Three weeks."
Dad:"I don't know Kayleigh."
Mom:"Let her go, she's always studying. Kayleigh if anything goes wrong I want you to call us."
Me:"I will mom."
Dad:"Your mother will help you pack I want a word with Jeffrey."Jeffrey and I looked at each other then he smiled,
Jeffrey:"Go on babe I'll be fine."
I nodded and gave him a kiss before heading down the hallway with my mom. When we were in my room I halfway closed the door.
While finishing the last bag I heard the front door open then close, what's going on out there? I zipped the bag then grabbed them as I followed my mom back out to the living room seeing it was empty, that's odd where did they go? As I placed my bags on the couch the front door opened and both Jeffrey and my dad walked in laughing, okay now that is really odd.
Dad:"I'm sorry for over acting when you told us about you and Jeffrey, he's a good guy Kayleigh."
Me:"I told you, forget about the age difference and you'll see how good of a guy Jeffrey is."
Dad:"I know, well we'll head out now just be safe and if anything happens call us please."
Jeffrey:"We'll call."My dad nodded then hugged me, when he let go he looked at Jeffrey and shook his hand.
Dad:"You protect her Jeffrey."
Jeffrey:"I promise."Dad looked at mom with a smile before motioning her to follow. Mom quickly hugged me then followed my dad out the front door.
Me:"What was that about?"
Jeffrey:"Nothing to worry about babe, your dad and I talked things out and now he's accepting me."
Me:"Wow that's surprising."
Jeffrey:"Right? But hey things are good now so I'll grab the bags since they'll be here soon."
