It's been two days since we left that mountain, two more days I've thought about everything we went through. Something none of us will ever forget, I finally left the room I've been staying in since Jake and Josh's aunt and uncle are super weird about unmarried couples sharing a room so all of us slept in separate bedrooms. As I walked down the hall I stared down at the floor coming to a stop since I ran into someone but when I looked I smiled since the person I ran into was Jeffrey,

Jeffrey:"Finally going to join us?"
Me:"Sorry I've been thinking a lot about what we just went through."
Jeffrey:"We all have so I understand."
Me:"Everyone here?"
Jeffrey:"Everyone except the aunt and uncle."
Me:"They creep me out.."
Jeffrey:"Tell me about it, the way they stared at all of us during dinner last night was the final straw for me, granted they were nice to let us stay but they could drop the creepiness."
Me:"I agree with that, so where are the others?"
Jeffrey:"In the kitchen, come on."

I grabbed his hand following down the rest of the way of the long hallway and into the dining room to see Kate, Jake and Josh eating.

Kate:"Hey! Come eat before it gets cold."

I smiled softly and walked over to the table with Jeffrey then sat down.

Jake:"I've heard from the other two so do you think our aunt and uncle is creepy?"
Me:"Oh um why?"
Jake:"Because they are."-he laughed-
Me:"Oh, yea they are. Have they always been like that?"
Josh:"No which is really odd."
Me:"Weird, anyway when will they be back?"
Josh:"They'll be back around 5, their throwing a dinner party. Most of their friends will be here so I'm not looking forward to that."
Jake:"And all of us will be participating in their dinner party game, their request."
Me:"Game? What kind of game?"
Josh:"No idea, they normally draw a game name from a box and whatever game is chosen is the game everyone plays so it could be any game honestly."
Me:"Like board games?"
Jake:"Kinda but they more so bring the game to life so more so like clue? I guess is a good example, the players are the pawns and whatever game it is we play."
Me:"So like a virtual world? So say the game chosen is like say clue as your good example, the game characters will be us and the house is the board? Right?"
Jake:"Actually, yea you got it."
Me:"Odd but okay I guess I'll have to play."
Josh:"It'll be fun we used to play as kids so hopefully they made zero changes."
Jake:"We can only hope. Til then you guys want to explore the house?"
Me:"And take a chance of them finding out?"
Jake:"How?"
Me:"Not sure if you've noticed the cameras around the house or not but that's how."

Both Jake and Josh looked around spotting a camera above the dining room doorway,

Jake:"Wow, they really have changed. They never had cameras in their house before."
Me:"Unless it's because of us, they don't know Jeffrey, Kate or I so that could explain the cameras."
Josh:"True but they've always trusted people we've had over as kids."
Me:"Keyword, kids. Times have changed and the world gets worse each day that passes, so the cameras I can't say I blame them for I would too if I lived in a mansion."
Jake:"I guess but snooping around is out of the question so we just sit here twiddling our thumbs til they get back?"
Me:"No I'm sure there's other things we can do without disrespecting them in any way."
Jeffrey:"Could always check out the yard? I can imagine how many acres they own."
Jake:"Yea we can do that, they won't mind that."

With all of us in agreement we stood up then followed both Jake and Josh out the back door that was in the kitchen. I stepped out onto the back deck seeing a huge open field, the view was enchanting and to top it off rose bushes was lined up along the fence,

Jeffrey:"Definitely worth looking at it, they did a fantastic job setting it all up."
Jake:"It's different from what it looked like when we were kids."
Me:"Peoples taste changes so they're never going to be the same."
Josh:"Kayleigh has a point Jake."
Jake:"Yea I know.
Kate:"What's at the end of the fence?"
Jake:"A huge lake, which is connected to the same lake at the camp site."
Me:"Great..."
Jeffrey:"It's okay we're safe."
Josh:"Jake and Kate follow me."
