They eventually pulled up to the cemetery and Charles walked Y/n to the the plaque that read Jules Bianchi.
Charles: I'll be right here if you need.
Y/n: Thank you.Y/n sat down just before it and Charles gave some distance but stayed near enough for if Y/n needed him. Y/n looked at the letters of his name, each outlined so perfectly before taking a small breath and talking.
Y/n: Hey Jules. I never thought I'd be here... I miss you; it's been pretty difficult I won't lie. But the Leclercs saved me time and time again. It's just like you said: 'they'd be family' when I came to your house that first day I left home. So much has happened in these past years... I just know you'd love all the news. Believe it or not I found that real love you always told me I'd find, I found it with Pierre of all people. He's filled a part of the whole you left in my heart... I just wish you'd been here to help me understand everything; you would've helped me so much that I never would have had to hurt Charles like I did...
Charles, who was smiling about her and Pierre, looked down at hearing this. Y/n was still hurting about that and he'd felt as if he made it worse by ignoring her...
Y/n: But I think we're okay now. He's still as hard on himself as ever, and his luck isn't always there, but I just know you'd be so proud of him... and Arthur too.
Charles gave a slight smile at these bittersweet words. A tear fell down his cheek but he held his strength for Y/n.
Y/n: I don't know why I'm here today... I just think I needed to take another step. I'm glad I did because it helps me move on. I still miss you and all our ice cream days daily but there's so much of you all around when I'm with the Leclercs or at the races which I returned to as per your requests...
she felt herself beginning to cry slightly
Jules, I love you... I never said it enough but I know you knew it-Her words failed her as she put her head in her hands. Charles noticed the talking had stopped and went to Y/n. He sat with his arms around her holding her tightly not saying anything. He let her finish crying before speaking up.
Charles: He knew. He loved you too. He'd be so proud of you for everything.
Y/n held Charles tighter at these words.
Y/n: Thank you Charles. For everything.
Charles: You're welcome. And Y/n, please stop worrying about me. I'm not hurt by you anymore, don't hold onto that.
Y/n: Okay...They sat for a few moments longer before Y/n asked to leave. They got into the car but Charles didn't drive home. Instead he stopped at a small café down by the Harbour.
Y/n: What are we doing here?
Charles: Come on.Without further questions Y/n followed Charles out the car into the café. The cool air-con felt amazing. Charles walked up to the counter and returned with two ice cream cones.
Y/n: Charles, you didn't...
Charles: I did. I know you feel better after ice cream. So let's go.Y/n couldn't help but smile at him and the two of them walked the docks a bit. They laughed and spoke about everything they'd missed the chance to these past few days. It wasn't until Y/n walked right past Luca's boat that she'd realized where they were.
She stopped at its sight and Charles noticed something was wrong. He looked in the direction of her gaze and noticed the boat. He put his arm tightly around her and guided her past it. Y/n rested her head on his shoulder and he kissed her head gently.
Eventually they got back to the car and headed home.
Arthur: About time!
Max: I thought you guys had gotten lost!
Y/n: Haha, no. We just needed to do something after the cemetery. She smiled at Charles who winked at her.
Y/n: But what did you guys do all afternoon?
Lorenzo: Waited for you to return alive.
Charles: Haha, guys relax. It wasn't so long.
Arthur: We were told of one stop. Not an almost two hour trip.
Charles: Well we're all okay. However, Arthur can I talk?
Arthur: Sure, let's go to my room.—————————
Max: So Y/n, are you okay?
Y/n: Never better.
Max: And Pierre? What's that been like? Still friends or must I talk more sense into you.
Y/n: Max... we are unofficially official. Kissed and everything.
Max: What?! Why am I only hearing this now?!
Y/n: Haha, there wasn't a need to tell.
Max: There's always a need Y/n. Always!****
It wasn't until Charles and Arthur re-emerged from the room that they had all decided to go and get dinner.
Once they finished and Y/n, Charles and Arthur were back home, Y/n went to bed, thankful for the day she'd had and the people around her...
